AI path finding - What do we know?

Hi guys,

I posted a month or so ago regarding AI enemies not walking on props.  We established it was due to the AI not having or being able to find a path onto placed props, which made me start to think "What do we know about AI path finding with placed props"?  Does a summary of known AI path finding attributes and behaviours exist?  Or can we create one?

Here's the little that I do know:

-  AI will find paths and hide around sand bag barriers, but will not climb on them (I think - maybe ideal prop placement might enable them to climb?)

-  AI can land, walk on and drop down into from higher levels of sand bag forts, via helicopters

Do we know which props, if any, have paths for AI?

What about for AI in vehicles?  Can they utilise stunt tracks?

For survivals, AI recognises many props as obstacles that they must walk around or can take cover behind: props in the Barrier, Construction, and Wreckage menus for example. One thing they don't seem to recognise is "stunt" props, such as the stunt tracks, stunt ramps, and stunt block props (the big sheets). When the stunt items are placed, the enemies on foot and in vehicles will relentlessly move against the prop rather than go around it - if they are head-on in heading towards you.

The fact that stunt props are not "recognisable" does have a perk: you can place stunt ramps on roads, and vehicles will drive up them to get to you if that road is their path to you. You can't make legitimate tracks out of any road or ramp props - vehicles will only ever recognise Rockstar's roads.

Having said all of that, some vehicles are a little more intelligent than others in driving around stunt props to get to you - the APC and Weaponized Tampa in particular are more "inquisitive" vehicles in that regard.

I've noticed that AI in vehicles ignore player placed props. In a couple of the survivals that I have made, they were constantly running over the NPCs on foot, so I placed several concrete blocks to stop them/try to force them out of their vehicles. However, they try to (and sometimes succeed in) stunt over them, or they just keep slamming into the blocks until their vehicles explode.
