LeonVegaSuarez 1,703
I was wondering which horses everyone owns. What are your favorites and why? I own 5 horses each as Arhur and John. Four are stabled and one is a temporary horse. Mine are the following: Arthur in chapter 4 - male silver Turkoman (got it with the Saint Denis stable glitch back when it still worked). It's one of my absolute favorites. Just love how elegant and powerful it looks at the same time - male wild bay Mustang. I tamed this one in the heartlands and was never able to let it go - female dappled black Thoroughbred. Pre order bonus. Kept it because I love it's unique coat - female white arabian. Just gotta have this one. Also love its pure white look - male dark Bay Andalusian. Big fan of andalusian horses in real life. Love the coat too John - Buell. Can't let this one go ever - male dark bay Turkoman. Sold Rachel for this one. Just prefer the coat and look of the Turkoman - male black arabian. Always had a black horse as John in RDR1 so this one is for nostalgia reasons - female silver dapple pinto Missouri Fox Trotter. Love the look and gotta own a foxtrotter. Just all around machines. - female tiger striped Mustang. Just kept this one mainly because it's unique. I was never able to find a male version in the wild so stuck with the female one
Taterman 2,920
I got the polka-dot Appaloosa during a mission. Great looking horse and not bad stats. LeonVegaSuarez and Cyper

Cutter De Blanc 15,273
My favorite horse is the Tiger Striped Bay Mustang. I named her Llamrei after King Arthur's horse. She is braver and seems to have better pathfinding abilities than other horses. A smart horse! Someone was once shooting at me and Llamrei ran up and trampled the dude and was like, "bro get on" The main horse I've been using in my current save file is the Raven Black Shire. Unfortunately he is exactly as Hosea describes, "A complete angel" Doesnt like altercations of any sort and runs off during them, even when I have him hitched. Also makes bitchy noises whenever it rains or I ride through water. I named him Django, which is sort of ironic since its a badass name and this horse is a gigantic wimp. Gonna probably get a Django II instead, probably an Arabian, which are less skittish than this Shire LeonVegaSuarez
Aipher 1
Currently in chapter 4 I rotate three: silver pinto MFT stallion, chocolate roan warmblood mare and lastly a silvertail buckskin standardbred stallion. I left a slot free so I the 'buy horses' option at the stables isn't greyed out. Also, I hate seeing those 'unread' stars in any menu. I have used and fully bonded (but ultimately sold) several horses including: blood bay/dapple black thoroughbred, gold/dark bay turkoman, black standardbred, tiger mustang, rose bay arabian, rose grey andalusian, and the champagne MFT. Unfortunately in my game all coats of turkoman, arabian and the tiger striped mustang are bugged (not the other two mustang coats). I cannot go faster than a trot and they will be in an agitated state perpetually, swinging their heads around and making noise until I actually stop. I have tried everything (L4 bond, well fed, cleaned, re-saddled, stabled, no predators close etc), and that's just how they are for me - usable but absolutely jarring. It's a shame since because I really like the turkoman. I used the horse spawning trick on older patch versions for the rare breeds.

Got him up to max bond and it's an absolute beast. My favorite horse are Turkomans. The silver one and dark bay one. Just love them. All around best horse in my opinion. Cutter De Blanc 15,273
I have never bought the Turkoman, its the only horse I haven't ridden since the game came out. I only hear good things about them Interesting thing I noticed is that the Shire doesn't seem to get bored while standing around doing nothing, but the Tiger Striped Bay is usually bored when shes not doing anything. I looked up on a horse website and I guess if they stomp their hooves a lot it means they're bored Edited April 25, 2020 by Cutter De Blanc LeonVegaSuarez

Dan_1983 575
Chocolate Roan Dutch Warmblood male. Good horse to buy early and when fully bonded with the speed bonus, it's quite a good horse.
Gettin up 981
I went straight to the white arabian somewhere near Colter when I had a chance. Didn't chance my horse after that.
