[WIP/SA] GTA Miami Vibe

So, what's we have at this time. I've planed done half of full on mid summer, but...i done it at 21 may,so what's it mean?

Work is going faster than it need, it not bad ofcourse. But! Any news bout progress'll posted in julei, cuz i'm workin on Wasteland right now. Wasteland gona be realese on fall of summer.

But anyway, progress on map at this time

- big city with casino, not like LV, and not a Las Vegas replica

- civil airport

 

Tropican

- swanks district (mansions?)

- army base/frontier

- large junge island

After some ploblems with my HDD, i've get broken some files. But not all...And i found this. It was and previous variation of map (i've posted some alpha screens before in Tiki Island I's topic) 

So...it's an real Miami, not a Vice.

After two weeks, i 've done Half part of South Miami (this is huge, i mean it's like LS in original game)

This still  00s, but with huge touch of modern-time retrowave. Also, it's have many 80s influnces, but with modern vehicles/clothes/weapons and etc.

Maybe in some ways like Drive or something like that.

I guess a lot people care about your mod but I guess the most people will just come as soon the mod is finished. Too many Total Conversions for GTA was started but never finished, but if I see how many Total Conversions you already released then I really have big hopes for another good one! Keep up your great work.

By the way, i know, many GTA-fan love funny R* in-game brands and cars name ( i've wrote new car names), so  at this time, mod include two own brands

- Dick.N.Nipples Gun Emporium - yeah, this is too flat joke, i know, but be real, it's funny and R* don't made is too smart jokes.

- Queens of Aloha Club - TV Slutallity - This is TV show, bout call girls of Aloha Club ( this club included in mod)

Also, i'm using many SA'features in map design, like mirors, env map refrection and animation.

I'm aiming to create TC like an Alien  City, i mean bout game features on visual and gameplay tips, not bout setting  or lore of course.

This is clothes shop, miror on floors and env map on plastic.

Nice update! I like the character model and the newer details in the previews above. Things aren't as super bright as the first Tiki Islands (a good change) haha. Looking forward to more progress.

There are some things that I think would make the mod great:

1- The Widescreen Fix for San Andreas (it makes a huge difference)

2- Maximum Draw distance like in Project 2DFX

1 - maybe, but i'm used expdisp.asi, as i know it simmilar, right?

2 - Sad, but not. SA-doesn't have too mucg powerfull for it. I mean, if you got look at 3D-era maps, they is'nt detailed. So what's it mean? Right, less RAM needs, so...

at this time, 80% of object and props on ap is an dynamic object - actually you can crash billboards and roadsigns or freeway signs. So, in FLA, i set 450MB of RAM, everything workin fine with this ton of object and with 1500 distance (2x of original), but, if i turn distance on 3000 or higher, it's needed more RAM, but when i used more then 512 MB in FLA - i got crash eveytime. I dunno how it's say, but it f*cked up buffer of RAM. So, what's we have? detailed location or max distance...i prefer detailed map. But Anyway, following design issues, i makin compostion, which made seeing building around us in every places, not like previous Tiki Islands map, where we drivin up to fog on nowhere.

 

And i have good news for low-end pc users, i made large work on optimisation, so, with mine 2,5GB of RAM and 8500GT512, i have 30-40 FPS.

can u share this plugin for tiki island also as a seperated patch. I really like tiki island bug this 40 fps problem I cant play :S

Just update FLA, only asi, not ini, and instal mixset, but turn off all parameters, after turn on proccesor priority on 4 and fps on 60. It's workin well.

Thanks for the video. It gave me an insight to the mods. Though i woupd like to point out a few issues

 

1. The guy with the 2 ladies. He hold them like they are his s*x doll, lifeless. Please make them more lifelike or make them sometimes blink their eyes

2. The police chase scene. I suggest spawing the police a bit to the back as spawning it at the same location might cause some issues. Plus its a little unrealistic.

3. Since this is DEV build, i wont comment the crash though i hope i wont get crashes

4. The signage should be in English/ Russian. Though i would prefer if you make 2 versions so people can choose it

 

Suggestions

1. Add car customization and purchase numerous safehouses?

2. Please make buildings on map be more darker colour, since the current colour scheme is abit too similar.

 

Great work, cant wait for more info

1. About eyes, this isn't proper animated cutscene, it's like...dyom like cuts, but anyway, i wanna improve in-game facial animations, so, it's gonna effect on cuts animations too.

2. Yeah. In originally cut it's was looked more epic and realistics - since 2019 - car ,wich we must steal, was placed on top floor on multiple floor parking, so, copcar spawned on lower floor and drive to us, after it, we see chase at rooftops. After rooftops, chase come to roads, police car gonna be burn and explode.

 

Suggestions

 

1. Yeah, customization all available at beginning, but buyable savehouses and bussines'll available after 3/4 of  main plot.

2. Map gonna be changed to dark purple at Miami and grey at NY-based city.

3. Also, drug dealing, this features was done in Tiki Islands' 2016 build, so, it's be avaibale in this mod too, after 2/4 of  main plot.

Thanks. I hear bout this plug, but unfortunelly it's unstable for me. By the way, SA have eyes animation in-game like animated bone for mounth. So, i'll used it soon.

So I've had the chance to test the 1st alpha of Miami vibe. It runs well on my machine with no lag or other performance issues, however I did experience a few bugs and crashes that prevented me from advancing.

 

My first game-play bug was met with a random fade out. (The screen faded out from color to white. Almost like a melted picture).

My 2nd play through it happened again but not immediately.

My 3rd play through I made it to my first mission. "Hot Wheels". After picking up the mission the game crashed before I could make it to the check point.

My 4th play through I made it to the check point of the first mission and experienced another crash.

 

For the moment I'll just wait for future updates and fixes.

 

PS: The first cutscene was pretty cool. Though the dialogue isn't fully translated yet I like the boss with two pretty attractive women under his arms. I'm sure it's a lot of work to do solo so many kudos for taking on the task of putting out another total conversion.

About color fades - it's happens when your CPU or RAM is overheating by many operations. So, 2-3GB RAM is very requested for this mod.

Fine. Looks like all others folks doesn't care of this mod, so.... I've delete demo, so, don't ask me in next time where update and why you don't release nothin. Thanks.
