PC GTA Online bug leaves people homeless

Today I logged in to do my TT and yep, I have that DAMN complete reshuffle of my cars on my main account too...

8

ALL cars have been moved, alot of white RH8 thrown in there too. So at first glance everything is still t here, but completely rearranged..

 

I don't play as much anymore, but one of my most treasured things in GTA is how I organized all my cars (mostly from most expensive to least, but also a fun, weaponized, motorcycle,... garages).

 

This will take quite a few hours to put everything back as it was and I'm pissed to say to least. Got better things to do than to spend hours again to clean up Rockstar's errors and get an overview again on what I have and most importantly where to sent my mechanic to to get it for me... ...and worst part of it all, it could potentially happen again... The fix is as bad as the bug...

Same with me, my collection is a complete mess. I knew where all my hundreds of cars/vehicles etc were. Now I'm clueless. I think everything has been returned but as you say it will take hours maybe even days to get it back into some kind of order.

TBH I would have prefered they had given me the funds = to what I have spent on them and there upgrades (about 300 million ish) so I could start the collection from scratch,

I'm sure it would be easier and quicker to buy them all again 1 by 1 have them delivered to the office get them upgraded and distributed to appropriate garages,

rather than the huge shuffle I need to do now I just dont know where to start.

Just a little update... While reorganizing a big chunck of my cars (far from ready btw), I came across one car that's missing...And I thoroughly checked all garages throught the mechanic call (four times)... Organizing most of my cars from most expensive to least and using the gta cars list (order by purchase price), I came across the fact my Deveste Eight has gone missing... 1.8 M without tuning down the drain... First they hand out1.5M and then the take more away LOL...  I'm thrilled...

 

Tomorrow I'll open up a ticket, but I don't have high hopes.. I have zero visual proof I had that car... It was limegreen with a white pearl... Wondering what else has been replaced by white Elegy rh8 (probably).

'Good' stuff..

 

So check your stuff, guys, when things have been scrambled by this bug/fix... There's a chance you lost something...

Well another car lost, guys… A schlagen GT.. Opened up a ticket and I got the 'can't verify your claim of lost car BS'...

Here's my response...

Well, I lost another car due to the fix over at your end...

Schlagen GT lost as well.. So my losses are now 4M+.

As I have not pictures of my cars, I guess I'll have to take the losses and just rebuy them with my current balance. This might not be real money, but the lost cars do represent alot of invested time.

This feels as theft, but it is what it is and the real scary part is the fact that this issue on your end might happen again…

I'm not satisfied as a returning customer, but I'll take hit.

And I'm not done reorganizing yet… I'll check Oleggs tip... Hopefully I can regain so me... Quite a few more white elegys hanging around my garages and I can't recall having that many (8ish), so I'm scared more lost ones await me, when I get to them...

I have been having problems like this:

• Black screen and keeps on loading when I go from the penthouse to the casino, sometimes into businesses.
• With helping some people I am not able to help with sales, which means that they have to do it one their own.

The problems my sister is having with her one:

• When doing sales she fine most of the time and on the other times when its rubbish trucks or something, they don't drop straight away.
• When doing the CEO supplies for example the car stealing, she delivered the car, and it still shows a blue arrow over her head, and she cannot do anything else cause it doesn't let her use the laptop even though she made the car drop off.
• Black screen and keeps on loading when I go from the penthouse to the casino, sometimes into businesses.

I have tried to talk to rock star support but they have been bloody useless, repeating with telling me to re verify, and I have done that even reinstalled the game over 5 times so far, they dont listen to that.  Then they want me to try changing my DNS to google, which will not work where i am (New Zealand) I have already tried.  And they want screen shots, I send them, then they say they want vids, but cannot upload them and I am not a member of youtube so I am not signing up just for them when they have not been helping anyway and can't even upload to the support ticket with the short vid.

 

Just dont get why rockstar has to screw the game up at times.  Yet its the only game I have that I am having troubles with online, and they ALWAYS blame it on me when I know its nothing to do with my end.

My balance got corrected by 4M... 

 

So they do help you out. So it helps to reach out and keep things friendly. I had no pictures of both cars, only my word. So props to them to help out. 

Now, off to rearranging my stuff further now... Cars I'm checking now, are below 0.9M of value, so it doesn't hurt as much anymore, should another one be missing...

NIce to hear. Years ago when my wife played she was quickly reimbursed for a missing car.
