PC GTA Online bug leaves people homeless

So yeah. There's a bug going around right now on PC that removes properties from players. Still keep all cash and stuff, but you lose all your properties. I lost half my guns and still have my stupid ass yacht. Thanks R*?

I just came here to check out what had happened, My MC business states I don't have a club house anymore, CEO requires me to set a new name for my Org too. This mean we've just lost all of our cars?

My first guess is that they have some serverside issues and your profile data/catalogue isn't loaded properly. Try clearing your cache and restarting the game in like 30 mins.

 

EDIT: ALSO BE SURE NOT TO DO ANY TRANSACTIONS BEFORE THE SITUATION IS CLEARED. Don't buy, sell or trade anything, and take a break from things that follow your progress (CMM, tutorial, Lamar+CasinoResort story missions).

Affected also. This afternoon at 18:30 CET was playing without issues. Logged back in at 21:30 CET and lost everything except bank account - weapons, outfits, properties & heists, garages, vehicles....

Just checked Rockstar Support twitter and seems this is a global issue. Lets wait for them to have a look. Deployments after holidays are always creepy

I just cannot explain what could go wrong , i never cheated or something, glad to see that i'm not the only one affected by this bug, i even opened a ticket just to be sure that i will get my stuff back.

I lost f*ck!ng everything on my 2nd Character. Except my Yacht, for some weird reason. I owned every possible property including upgrades, plus ca.160 fully upgraded vehicles, a sh!tload of Pegasus vehicles, guns, clothes and whatnot. If that is all gone and can't be restored, I'm gone as a costumer as well.

The stuff for my 1st character seems unchanged, but still ...

Gals and guys I'd rather stay calm and wait for R* to have an update. What I'd suggest is opening a support ticket of "Item Loss"  with at least 1 property, then you can explain on the comments that you lost everything. I did so. Also suggested them on Twitter to publish a known issue post somewhere because they're literally flooded with messages.

R* needs you to help support covid so they are evicting everyone from their apts in order for u to buy cash cards.

 

I'm safe since I haven't logged in since February. Been playing gta iv with mods.

 same here, i lost pretty much everything except few sh*tty weapons that i never use. i think i'll just wait few days and see if they can do anything about it, if not i think i'll just buy everything again.. i just cba to make a ticket

 this reminds me of the false ban wave in mid 2017, most people did get unbanned but not everyone, many people still banned to this day

Yeah me too after getting 500K then joining to invite session my character spawned on random location before it was Arcade... And i'm noticed that my mc,ceo and other business all disappeared... What the hell happening?

I'm going to be really disappointed if I lose everything due to a bug that only affects certain PC players. Reason I got into Online last month in the first place was to drive classic cars that were exclusive to GTAO. I've spent so much time solo grinding to be a CEO with a vehicle warehouse and arcade, would be super pissed for it all to get blown to the wind with no recovery.

I saw someone that who created the topic of "how many people played by everyone" and now this bug has come and 7 year's progress seems to have been gone as though ... In vain people are showing off with meaningless statistics

I actually logged in 2 hours ago just to buy the Lazer , I`ve only entered my hangar and all my Aircrafts were still there ...

I´m gonna risk it a bit and reconnect right now ,in a crew session by myself ,just to decument all my assets and propreties ....

 

EDIT: back from a crew session . Still got everything , thank God ! now I have pictures and Videos of all my assets

Hope R* fixes this very soon ....

It happened to me too! And i'm "glad" that i wasn't the only one...i thought that could be a master hacker who screwed up my account. This is what happened:

I was doing this days the daily objetives to my 2nd char (a female), so i changed at least one time per day the characters. But today, when i was changing the character, the 2nd one had almost everything deleted!!!! Such as:
- Almost all guns (i only have some pistols, few melee weapons, the hooming launcher, the fireworks launcher and some grenades. And looks like that it doesn't save picked up weapons from the floor when i change sessions;
- All my vehicles, gone!

- All my properties, gone! (which i had even a car in the impound, which now i can't even reclaim it, bcz i don't have any garage to put it!
- All the clothes that i had, gone! Just the clothes that i had in the outfits are saved, the resst it's again to purchase in the store! And the clothing itens that belong to some unlockables i still can get them in the stores, but it's like i never picked them from there, so it's for "to buy" (as free). As the masks, i just have the ones that were from some event, like christmas.
- The only property that i have is the yatch, although it's not the one that i bought, it's just the cheapest one and even have the flag of Scotland, which i never used, bcz it's not my country!
- I even noticed that my character got a new eye colour that i didn't used! And some makeup that i'm almost certain that isn't the one i had before!
 

What didn't changed is:
I still have all my money.
My 1st character is ok, there's nothing missing.

Same - had everything when I last played a few days ago, right down to unlocking the free $1 million on each character, so I'm just leaving my account like a fly in amber until it's absolutely safe to play again...

 

Even though I'm so very, very much done with the game these days, I'm still fond of my custom vehicle collection, and my brain would probably implode if 6+ years of progress went up in smoke overnight.

Can you check if your last driven cars still show up when you go on the socialclub website garage tab?

 

I logged out about 10 hours ago. Everything fine back then on my end.

I'm pretty sure SC webpage only updates data on login to game.

 

Btw has anyone who logged in and lost stuff try to use MC menu or other options to call vehicles?
