Rockstar crunch stories sound terrible but ND is so f*cked up it got them a bad reputation in the area of their studio,imagine having such a bad work culture that you become some tech boogeyman in the neighborhood.At least rockstar has some damn good relationships with musicians and some celebrities,ND doesnt even have that.

Lenny you’re gonna get me on a roll  I love that podcast but even the United States government acknowledged the existence of UFOs so it’s not really a “loony nut job tinfoil hat” thing to believe in anymore. Even if an announcement still occurs next year, I would still rely on a 2022 release in my opinion.

The biggest difference between us and them. This is something that we (in particular I) immediately understood what was happening. And after a while, after empty expectations , many finally realized that everything that happened was for the sake of attracting attention. It is one thing when they sit in a separate topic and do not climb out and communicate only with each other. The other thing is when they come here and wreak havoc. 
They attracted attention, in the end. This led to sad consequences. 
Looking at the many followers of the preacher, you could see what kind of people they were. 
First of all, they have registered recently.( OK, anything can happen. I myself have not registered for 5 years) 
Secondly, it is clear that these people have absolutely no understanding of the industry, games, or even the company. ( simple example. I often saw messages: and why they can't leak information. What prevents an R* employee from leaking a screenshot or information?. well, it's clear who it is) 
Third, these people have no clear arguments other than FAITH.
fourth, they don't know many respectable people. 
Not only on the form and sphere R*. But also in principle in the industry. 
Say that Jason doesn't know anything... I've never heard anything so stupid. 
Banal, only one of his books Blood, Sweat and pixels prove that he is an incredibly respected person in the field of video game development.

There's been talk about ND's crunch being so bad it's causing vets to leave meaning inexperienced people are put in lead positions meaning they get in over their head, causing delays.

Specially with the corona lasting till 2022.

What worries me is the economy f*ckery that will happen when things go back to normal.That kind of sh*t affects gaming,consoles will sell less and games will sell less.Physical media might take a big hit.

At least rockstar writers will have some good material lol

All he says in the article could be totally made off his ass. He doesn't give any references, all the data is "anonymous"... wtf is that? Is that man the preacher?

I honestly don't know him and I'm looking for someone to explain me why he is the man that we can trust.

He is a renown video games journalist with a LOT of history of accurate leaks.

This is why I am a fan of gaming 15+ years ago.  Yes graphics are amazing with each generation.  Yes, game-play has advanced.  Yadda yadda yadda.  I get the 'why'.  I just don't like it.

 

With complexity and advancements comes a seemingly (exponential?) growth of development time.  There is a breaking point, however, to this.  At some point the long wait becomes not worth it for (amazing) games.  Though the wait for GTA 6 will be worth it, will it really be worth it?    

 

Look at III to VC to SA.  They made leaps and bounds of improvements within, what...a 4 year period?  There is no way they could crank out 3 quality titles like that anymore within that window with the complexity of gaming now.  For better or worse.  In many ways, worse. 

 

Which is why I state, that as some point there is a breaking point in the scale of time vs quality vs it being worth it.  I'd rather the development time be less (with later updates) versus waiting practically a generation until a next game.  I'd rather have 2 AAA games of the same game per console generation vs one or less per console.  Zelda (one of my personal beloved series outside of GTA) has gone this way too.  I get it, but again, look at Majora's Mask.  Using the same engine, they cranked out a fast sequel that turned out to be arguably one of the greatest Zelda games.  To me, that was incredible even by today's standards.  It was that same way from VC to SA.  Oh, the memories of that era.  I know, I know, I sound old (and am old).

 

I know there is no going back...I just miss the PS2 (and circa) generation of gaming versus now in this manner .  I'd rather have a 5 year GTA/Zelda vs a 10 year GTA/Zelda.  After all, do we remember more 'advanced' GTA games (IV/V) over VC/SA?  I think not.  I had just as much fun with the old ones when they first were out.

 

That all being said, GTA 6 will be awesome no matter what.  I just think 8-10 years is too long to wait for great games in a series.

I agree with most of your points you made in your previous post, but as I mentioned, you saying a certain group of people should be banned for indulging in that is just childish. I do put faith in this Schreier guy, but you shouldn't go as far as "ban those damned Apostles!" They haven't broken any rules, and as a result they don't deserve any prevention of ever posting on this forum again. 

 

If if makes you feel any better, most of the people here that registered in March & April now won't be here in a year or so. We're in a drought, stuck with the same GTA game for well over 7 years with a sh*tty decaying Online mode. People are desperate for an announcement, and they are welcome to believe whatever they please.
