I thought the plural was a bit weird but that’s all I got out of him.

 

I figured that wasn’t worth posting alone, and I really don’t want to get yelled at or anything, but that weird map leak reminded me of it because it seems to include multiple islands, which could mean cities in both North and South America, hence Americas. 
 

Obviously I’ve got zero proof, I totally understand if you don’t believe me obviously. Hopefully I won’t get banned for saying this without evidence, and he could absolutely have been lying to me anyway just to shut me up, but I thought it was interesting.

Yeah keep in mind that Instagram dm's can easily be faked. I really doubt this conversation even happened.

I did translate it. It's a few posts above. A better way to translate images is Google Lens.

Not doubting Chris liberty but I doubt an announcement would be delayed that much. Especially if it was meant to be announced in May, I'd say they would have delayed it to be October.

If the postponement of the announcement is due to significant changes in the game, they could postpone the announcement by 1 or 1.5 years…

I'd agree, if there wasn't a huge Online update coming soon. If they really did plan on announcing the game in late spring and it got delayed, then we're not going to get an announcement anytime soon. I believe (just as in every job that has to do with media planning) there's time windows. If Q2 2020 couldn't be used and q4 2020, as well as Q1 and Q2 2021 are blocked by ps5 GTA V and GTA Online announcements, I'll be going with the date in @Len Lfc's signature. You simply can't get maximum profit, let alone engagement/interaction rates when another of your titles interferes.

It makes sense:
Q4 2020 - Online DLC
Q3 2021 - Standalone Online
Q4 2021 - VI Announcement
Q2 2023 - VI Release (goes along with the planned marketing expenses for T2, and no I don't believe the debunking)
