So, it might be the same 'fake' leaker who's trying to leak the next DLC, that it's suppose to be a new Island.

I'm not saying it's 100% fake. I'm just saying it's possible someone (or even the same guy) made a similar map leak with some upgrades to make it look legit. Just like how it is possible that someone could have listened to that podcast and made a fake scout leak.

Well, there's no doubt about it, it IS the same map. It's just a new image.

The guy who posted it first, is he proven to be fake yet? If yes, then it's all BS. 

 

If no, yea there's a possibility and the map looks huge. I'll be more than happy if there's really two islands with water in-between.

 

But one thing, it looks strangely similar to GTA V map, just rotated -90° and edited some things. Added an island to the right.

If this leak is real, the first leak must have been the initial sketch of what devs wanted and new leak might be the newer version of the map with changes since the first map.

We dont know who leaked it so there's no way of confirming its fake or not unless some reputed gaming website confirm with their source. But this was not leak as gta 6 map so it could be for literally any other game.

Yeah, that's basically it. Presuming it is real, then it's likely one of the earliest concepts for the map. What exactly do you mean by newer version? as far as I can tell, they're all the same.

This screenshot of the map looks different from other leak. That's what i meant. This could be from the same batch of leak but we got it now only.

I think maybe the water part is not that huge, it just seems like it because the map is cut. Maybe it's not so far away from the main land?

See how they look slightly different. The one on the middle is the first one I guess. The first one and the second has the same outline but not exactly the same.

Hah, I was actually a little disappointed by the Miami Beach section. Not saying it's bad, I'd just hope it'd be a little bigger. Like Miami Beach IRL. It's quite long, and stretches quite a way.

I think that map, if real, could be south american city map. That would explain why there's so much water. If you are traveling from vice city to south american city then it must make sense geographically.

from a geographical perspective... yeah, absolutely. But in the end it's a video game. How would you implement so much water without it just being... water. You know? Open world games nowadays really do feel like an open world. I don't see R* creating so much water just to have it just be water. They did a decent job with that already in Gta V and that was back with the possibilities they had with the ps3

You need the water if there's to be any form of smuggling gameplay element. If they're recreating Miami, and nearby areas, then having those islands around the Bahamas makes sense. You can't have them right next to the beach. There would need to be a realistic sense of scale, but not overdone.

All the islands are seen here. Again, presuming it's real, which it may well not be.

If the map is real then are the two other grey areas on the same island as Vice City other cities, or small towns? Interesting what someone who knows Florida geography good could say what they could be

What I mean is the underwater world that comes with it. GTA V implemented this feature into a few missions and side misssions and it just made the world feel so much more real and alive. My understanding of "just water" would be nothingness to dive and swim in. Maybe a fish here and there

It's basically impossible to prove something's fake unless it's shown to be an existing image from somewhere, or something about the source - anyone can open up photoshop and whip up something like this to avoid the former, and it being completely anonymous negates the latter. That's why the focus is generally on showing whether it's real, which...is easier done with a source lol

Looks like it. As I stated before, the drawn part could be drawn because the leaker tried to remember the rest of the map he saw.

Tampa, Fort Myers, Orlando, etc. Knowing what Rockstar have done in the past, I wouldn't expect 100% geographical accuracy. But yeah, strange...

Its been... Quiet for too long... A few minor dlc's months apart, a newly released masterpiece abandoned for over a year... You think the biggest thing coming is a remaster that's already lower effort than some mods out there?

GTA 6 is coming, and its going to be big. Likely to provide us with entertainment for well over a decade.

I do know that Orlando is quite North of Miami, but yeah wouldn’t matter for Rockstar

Ofcourse, what can they possibly do to make it more realisitic?

 

Plus I think the main point is so that water transport would be more useful. As well as air transport. If this is true, which I think it could be, then I love it. It doesn't have the problem that V's map had which was that, there was basically no reason to use water transport because it was just one island. And the roads which went around the map that made the off-roads in the center useless.

Yeah, I'd expect the map to be flipped vertically, with Vice City being on the southeast tip od the island, and the everglades southwest. But hey, Rockstar have been making worlds for a long time, so they know what works best. Again, presuming it is real.

One thing to note however is that the other grey areas are WAY smaller than Vice City, so they could be small towns, but if GTA 6 has a bigger scale in it’s locations the small towns could be a lot bigger than the ones in GTA 5

That was actually part of CurryLav's leak  He 'convinced his friend to sketch the map from memory' Allegedly... I think that part is absolutely fake.
