Sony have completely failed in convincing me that the PS5 is an essential day 1 purchase. So far all I have seen is weird generic sci fi games and titles that look like they are aimed at pre schoolers, yes I'm talking bout Bugsnax.

 

It is inevitable that Sony will release a higher spec, better performing and slimmer console a year or so after the initial release - which I think is safe to say will be before GTA VI is released. I personally will not be buying a PS5 until Rockstar Games announce and confirm a release date for GTA VI.

If you're talking about a PS5 slim or pro, then one year later is way too soon. The PS4 slim & pro were 3 years after PS4 released, in 2016.

Yes, this is the same retailer (in Hungary it's called Konzolvilág) that started those pre-preorders for PS5 IN APRIL. And now they consider and count the pre-preorders from April. Guess what, actual preorders after official announcement won't matter therefore it's not just quantity limitation that causes problems.

No, they don't? It always is some kind of announcement, both DLC, game or just corporate announcements.

When was the last time next-gen started the year it officially released? 2013 didn't launch with any standout games, 2014 was pretty poor, also. The Witcher 3 was the standout in 2015, but personally it wasn't until 2016 where I felt the games started to shine.

I remember a quote from GTA V o'Clock, saying something about next-gen beginning when Rockstar say it does, with GTA V. GTA V was the big event in 2013, bigger than any next-gen game.

Last of Us 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 seem bigger than any of the “next gen” games coming out, except for maybe the new Spider-Man game.

The new Spiderman game isn't even close to TLOU2 and RDR2, it is smaller than the first one.

Because physical is better. You can’t play PS4 discs on the PS5 digital edition, and it’s nice to have the physical copy of games.

Very safe bets. There's no way you could debunk or verify it. I think this was actually discussed in this forum earlier, I don't remember which exactly which topic though.

Also the fact that he said he works at EA now and also revealed his location could mean two things, either the whole thing is absolute horsesh*t or those are just red herring, a real leaker would never give up his personal info just like that.

Leaving Rockstar to work in EA Games feel like a downgrade to me, but I guess the pay is better or something.
