Also I wasn't around when RDR2 was announced. 

 

Fact : I did not know about RDR2 until the first gameplay trailer. My first hyped game by Rockstar is GTA VI.

Yeah the GTA V drought was something, and it was my first one. Anytime something came out, people would repost the Ron Paul (It's Happening) gif, and demand everyone to get on board with the hype train. It was fun, but in respect for its wait, it was not really that long. The RDR II drought was good too and my favorite of the two. This drought will get fun once Rockstar does finally announce GTA VI, or their next game.

Damn thanks for providing links to everything. That was great. I'm not sure if it's in one of the links you provided, but that gameinformer article did mention three protagonists like it was announced before, when Exactly was the three protagonists thing announced and what were the reactions of the forum members?

 

It seems like a lot of waiting and I think it's easier said than done. Lmao hopefully they'll change and release a screenshot every month otherwise we would just analyse the trailer, tho now I think about it, people would probably find everything in the trailer within a month lol.

That is when it was officially revealed. But people had suspected it since the first trailer. Even after the GTA IV DLC, there were theories.

Hence why older heads know it's going to be a long wait, and why someone like myself isn't really fazed by it. When GTA VI is announced, there's a 99% chance this will repeat again. I remember when RDR2 was announced I didn't even bother checking in regularly, because I knew they wouldn't say anything for a year.

Damn I'm starting to lose hope for Announcement this year, for some reason. Back in January or February I was certain it would be announced this year. But now it seems more and more unlikely, we'll find out in only two months.

Doesn't this mean the "work from home" won't delay GTA VI?, If anything the performance capture will be delayed, and tbh I think performance capture is resumed after like June or something. Because now several movie production has resumed as well.

All hope for an announcement this year or the next was lost during the ps5 event, mk3 GTA V supposedly will not only be a cosmetic touch-up of a 2013 game, which means that they will try to make it profitable, and that means at least 1 or 2 years of support, 6 or 7 dlcs selling Citroen Saxos or Ford Fiestas for the price of a great white shark card among other things, this is the new Rockstar

@Zello Update: finished Miami Vice (great show). I actually liked Season 5 despite its darker tone and Tim Truman doing the musical score replacing Jan Hammer (Hammer was great though). This part towards the end made me laugh. Stan jebaited the hell out of those columbians. Haha

 

and of course the final cruise to finally take down Borboun. Still trying to figure out how they shot the plane down. LOL

my predictions are for 6 

 

modern day  setting 80s themed radio stations . 

map around same size of gta 4 maybe a bit bigger  people will slate me for that but we have the most solid  journo saying  its a smaller tittle . 

expecting a map the size of  rdr 2 or gta v is not feasible especially if rockstar is looking at cutting back on crunch . 

probably 1 or 2 islands in south americas colombia as a north yankton deal for 1 or 2 missions . 

will be sp only map will be ported to new online which as i said on the next dlc forum will get lc map expansion when the new online launches . 

i do think gta 6 was rebooted at some stage with the success of online and the crunch of rdr 2 to be a smaller map and tittle. 

will be the final gta with ls vc lc in the new online a full mmo game they will not do another one online is there bread and butter smaller investment and more profit .

Smaller compared to what? RDR2, GTAV or GTAIV? RDR2 was barely larger than GTAV (or is it slightly smaller, I don't know). It felt bigger due to the traversal systems. We lack proper context. RDR1 was shorter than both GTAV and IV but it was imo the best among them followed by V (or IV if you consider the DLCs as a same package i.e. The Complete Edition)

 

And then again map size isn't everything. Next gen open worlds will have more in depth systems, physics in play to manipulate game world, more interactive things and interiors, destruction which are much more significant than another island in my opinion but that being said more than one city would be amazing.

 

Also Schreier said next GTA is years away and after that he said in a podcast that he expects it to come out in 2022-'23 which is in line with our expectations anyway. So it's fruitless to speculate without context.

Just dropping by to tell you that it'd be a good time now to accept that the reveal of GTA VI is years away still. Personally - after the recent announcement of V coming to PS5 and XSX - I think it might be a laaaate 2022 reveal and the release I believe is not before Summer 2024.

 

I also do not anticipate anything else from Rockstar besides the regular RDO and GTAO updates until then. Rockstar is no more the Rockstar from 2000-early 2010's ... the sooner you accept that the better.

To me if the (GTAV Expanded and Enhanced) plan is for the early months of the second half of 2021, it could possibly indicate tighter scheduling for something else towards the end of the year. An announcement or release of something else who knows. 

 

Just don't fully exclude 2021 for GTAVI announcement, anything can happen.

and i dont buy the nonsense the game wont drop until 2024  . 

if it is a smaller tittle i dont see the length there 2022 although maybe 2023 with the pandemic at a push.
