I'm actually curious why some actually think the game will be annnounced in 2021? Not hating on anyone and dont want to start an argument but I want reasons as to why you think GTA 6 will be announced closely behind the re-release of GTA 5?

Less to do with the release of next-gen GTA V, and more to do with overall timing. RDR2 was announced 3 years after GTA V released. 3 years after RDR2 released would be 2021. Take into account the typical 2 year gap, intentional or not, you have a 2023 release. Which is 5 years after RDR2. The same gap as GTA V - RDR2. You can usually safely predict how long it roughly takes to develop a game. So 2021 is a good estimate. But not nailed on. But all things considered, it's the most likely date we can come up with, based on facts, evidence and history.

The only hoax of the new gen GTA V trailer is that it didn't really exist so they used content from old trailers

It does say Announcement in 2020 is possible if the scout leak is true and because of some other things.

Yeah that's my main reason why I believe in a 2022 announcement and 2023 release. But we'll see!

Speculation:

Gta 6 will be announced soon after gta online stand alone will be released and use online to promote gta 6 like how cod black ops cold war is being promoted on warzone. If rockstar doesn't do something like this, its such a big wasted potential
