Even if there was an announcement from rockstar at summer games fest, it will most likely be related to gta 5 for next gen. I don't think rockstar wants to reveal such a big project at a sh*tty event like sgf.

No it's noy suspicious,the account is just following the major studios in the industry,rockstar always goes at their own pace,they won't rush to put a trailer on other people's events.

Also, they didn't "recently start following Rockstar games" They follow 73 accounts, and Rockstar were the 5th one they followed. They've been following them the whole time.

I speculate that we will keep speculating for the next two years without any official news about GTA VI. 

GTA Online for NG including map expansion will be the next big thing.

Imaging adding updates for LC releasing DLCs every 6 months. I expect adding 4 DLCs for new map before starting with GTA VI announcement.

That's why i say GTA VI's online will be something different! Maybe VI will be playable CO OP! 
And R* will focus on making story mode DLCs or co op content for VI!

I don't know how you came to that conclusion. GTA Online is what is selling the game. How does GTA Online's success mean more chance of single player content or co-op? If anything, it suggests what they're already doing is popular, working, and that they should do more of that!

I remember summer game fest is following Rockstar for months. It's not "recently" as some of you say. I clearly remember thinking why they followed Rockstar. It's just because rockstar is a big company.

 

There's no way rockstar would Announce something as big as GTA 6 on summer game fest while their twitter account has a better reach lmfao. People who think them following Rockstar is something are really desperate for some news. It's nothing.

Imagine if COVID did actually impact their workforce. I'm picturing the heads of the company realizing that everyone is going to need to work from home, which is highly doable in a technological society, but they have to take extreme security measures.

 

One former employee named Elise Belcher who asked not to be identified was talking last week about how tough Rockstar is enforcing secrecy. Now that her loudmouth husband and chatty teenage boys get to walk by and see that their matriarch is working on pedestrian routes in Vice City for the AI, they're all locked into the house. Two guys in black suits and shades sit in a van outdoors, and intercept suspicious communications, and potential packages.

 

Last week the younger of the two boys was caught carrying trash out to the curb, and he was instructed to open the bag to ensure no USB sticks or floppy discs containing any code or secrets were making their way out of the house.

 

No wonder Dan called it a day at the beginning of the pandemic. He couldn't take it when the cable internet went out and three black suits came over to make sure he wasn't unbugging his house. After he left, it's now just down to an intern in a tux t shirt who comes by once a week to make sure Dan Houser is just staying indoors and not talking to Sam.

At the time people (including me) thought it meant something because that was the only company summergamefest followed that wasn't listed on the phase 1 lineup. Can chalk it up to the GTA 5 PS5/XSeX announcement being the reason at this point.

He could come back as a voice actor only for old times sake,but his participation will be closer to gta 3 than gta 5.
