Totally plausible strategy. Makes more sense to sell it in the lead up to the new one than to just re-release it as if they didn't already do that like 4 times.

 

edit: could go either way, plausible is the key word, but I am in the camp that says V gonna be a launch re-release game on PS5 with raytracing and other enhancements not seen on the original 2013 pre-release direct x 11 screenshots when they tried to pretend the last gen release wasn't a downscale of the actual game they initially made for the current gen, which is why we didn't get a current gen, because the current gen was lowered quality and pushed out at the end of last gen and so we just literally did not get a GTA this gen, is how it boils down. It's... saddening.

After playing RDR 2 and seeing the quality drop and glitches everywhere after every update, maybe it's a good thing Rockstar are trying to estblish GTA Online as a seperate game to VI. Day one and the game was close to perfect, less than two years in and RDR2 is an utterly broken experience.

 

I'd hate to think that we waited eight or nine years for VI only for the game to be close to unplayable by the time most of us can afford a next-gen console.

I'm confident that it's not in rockstars interest to lock their game away from xbox,but i do expect more radical deals for gta online and the future online component of gta 6

gta 6 will have no online the map will just be ported to the new online . 

as for the one month thing for me that only made sense if the game actually came out this or next year to boost ps5 sales gta 6 will not be out until 2023 at the earliest because of the pandemic so i dont see that making sense

There was this guy who compared this with the vice city palm trees, looked about similar.

 I tried to make it more pink. Forgive me if it's crappy, but this gives me Vice city vibes really.

Remove the "Online", "Los Santos" and "Summer special".

 

Add a dope looking "VI".

They are acutely aware of the constant speculation and hype around marketing materials they promote; yet they keep doing things to trigger it. Constantly feels like such a tease --  it makes me think could they have marketed this differently with different art? maybe/maybe not but something just constantly feels like a straight up tease haha.

I don't know. It's the summer update, and while it does have a 'Vice City vibe' It's often difficult to spot when you're seeing what you want to see, or seeing something without any bias. I've seen a lot of summer themes that look like that over the years. We'll never truly know, either way.

If the art has anything to do with something coming sometime, maybe a slight hint at anything due in this decade by Rockstar then it's a good sign. Speaking for myself, Fall Guys saved the summer, moreover saved my entire 2020 so I'm not in a hurry.

Yes you did and IMO you ruined all hard work of artist in less than a second, it looks bad.

Not really, you made it look dull. Just because you want it to have more Vice City vibes doesn't mean, that you should make all picture pinkish, including title of the series. Look at the original artwork, it is very vivid. Your on the other hand looks like you used some kind of automatic filter for the sake of making it more "pinkish". Take a look at official Vice City artworks.
