Anybody else kinda wishes they brought lowriders back? I don't remember hydraulics being a part of V. At least not in the singleplayer.

I can think of a few reasons:

1.Rockstar has a obscene amount of money to throw at projects

2.A different vision about open worlds compared to the rest,music and radio shows are a top priority,Rockstar knows that music variety helps make the world more dynamic,especially when you spend a lot of time in cars,watch dogs 2 sure is fun but it has a forgettable soundtrack with barely any djs,going around san francisco becomes a chore.

3.Michael mann movies serving as a blueprint for their games.Mann is fantastic at making cities feel like characters in just a few minutes.Rockstar brought that cinematic sensibility to their lighting engine,no dull looking street,it's why everything feels real,any road is perfect for a hollywood shootout.

4. Lots of crunch.

5.Rockstar knows how to avoid boring dialogue making even minor characters stand out.

6.Lots of money.

The lowrider dlc was actually cool,with a bit more of lamar story.

Shame that they lock the cars for online,in the beginning every car could be acquired in single player for free.

That is true but then again I would HATE to see those flying bs cars/bikes in singleplayer.. So if they did some only for online I wouldn't mind but certainly not all of em.

Oh yeah those should definitely stay out. I'd say keep the wacky stuff out and bring the other vehicles in.

Yup, this was a long time coming. The bigger number looks scary (to all except Australians) but we all technically paid $71 for GTA IV already.

 

 

And an extra ten bucks really isn't much in the grand scheme of things. Although a lame company like Take-Two doesn't deserve it, there's probably smaller ones that do. Development costs are rising at such an insane degree.

Problem is there's a pandemic going on and a lot of people are out of work. Telling them you gotta pay $10 extra dollars really isn't exciting.

So why should the price remain the same? I swear people don't understand what inflation is. I get it, mostly, people see a price go up, they get mad or upset. They'll argue there are more gamers today = more sales. But how does that make it fair? I don't like to look like I'm defending the multi billion dollar corporation, but... it is what it is. It's such a knee jerk reaction.

If you wanna drive any vehicle just to test drive use the creator mode  in gta online.I used it when the heist update came out,got to fly the hydra for a while.

Had this conversation with a couple of friends recently.

I was telling them that it think its strange that i pay the same money for a ps4 game and couple of decades ago a Sega Genesis game. Inflation came up in the conversation but it wasn't enough to convince me.

 

The production costs are different, more specialities entered the video game production cycle so for me 10 more dollars(euros) is understandable.

 

Don't forget that this is for a full priced game. We get so many deals across all platforms that its really not a problem imo.

I think the RAGE engine coupled with Euphoria ragdoll physics is also a key factor. No other open-world game has come close to replicating the same kind of feeling you get when you're playing a GTA game, IMO.

Remember the trailer where they made fun of gta iv? That was really funny.

 

3 was ok for me but in 4 the franchise lost its identity imo. It was like playing infamous not Saints row. Still a good game though.

For some reason I think if it was Cyberpunk we would have already known. It would make for a nice marketing to have his character in the gameplay trailer.

Whole time it's him being in the new Madden, Fifa, or NBA 2k lol.

 

Ubisoft has an event later this month so it could be an Ubisoft title. Maybe he's in the next Assassins creed, or Beyond Good and Evil 2.

Come to think of it it could also be for Star wars. He was in the Mandalorian show and Disney might try to include him in a future Star Wars game. To try and fix the mess they've done with Star Wars and tie it up with the only good thing Star wars has going for it right now. Jedi Fallen Order while I didn't play it is getting a sequel and people liked it maybe he's in Jedi Fallen Order II or whatever they decide to call it.
