I don’t understand why game developers can’t create such good games like GTA and RD. The closest I’ve seen to be as good as Rockstar is Mafia 2

Ehh Mafia 2 wasn't that good imo. Story was great but outside of that the open world was limited yes it had a lot of details but what's the point if you can't explore at your own free will.

 

Saints Row 1 and 2 were good, Scarface game was good for it's time, Sleeping dogs is underrated. Idk maybe some devs just are afraid of getting compared to R* so they don't attempt to make open world crime games. Instead we get a lot more open world zombie/apocalypse/superhero games these days pretty much open world but not GTA type game which I'm getting tired of.

 

Right now Watch Dogs comes close it just has that classic Ubisoft design instead which some people hate. There is also still anger over the Watch_Dogs 1 downgrades. Ubisoft just better not screw it up again Legion better be good.

i mean, watch dogs 2 - probably the best game that ubisoft has ever created, it has a GREAT open world, unfortunaly the story is a little bit sh*tty, but that is like the only real big problem with this game (and optimization but, well - U B I S O F T)

Developing games takes money, expertise, time resources and a well structured team. Big studios have established franchises that they stick with and they rarely venture into new territories. And if a new GTA clone gets love then they have to continue or it will fade. Sleeping Dogs is perfect example. That game could hold a candle to the GTA franchise and they never continued it. Plus GTA as a franchise has the benefit of the name. GTA is a name which most people pair with positive experiences so a GTA game will always outdo a wannabe in terms of sales, popularity and media attention.

You'd burn out faster than you think. Creative work isn't that easy (and I have a lot of experience in that) and leaves a serious mark on your mind. Especially when you also have all that responsibility as Dan had. I'd probably take all that money and still have about 30-40 years of life without any problems

I like Watch Dogs I just need purchasable safehouses, fix the driving and the car damage, and better gunplay it looks good in Legion though so I'm excited for that, and the story too the stories haven't been that good in Watch Dogs.

Did the quality of games got that high for the $69.99 to be understandable? I don't think so, I think $60 for a AAA should stay, even with 60 bucks price some AAA games don't deserve the original price point.

Lmao what the hell? What will be their reasoning? Sports games are literally the same f*cking thing every year but with slightly better graphics, this sh*t is not worth 69.99, and honestly if the entire industry jumps on this i'll be extremely dissapointed. I'd rather have shorter games than 70€ games.

We also need a GTAO expansion about the Wild West, called "Forever Arthur Edition" as a standalone DLC for the standalone edition of GTAO announced for PS5/XSX. I don't talk about the price tag, it's so obvious now.

Anyway, the least margin is on the consoles itself. That's why Sony decided to make HD camera, remote control and the headphones. Not to mention the paid subscriptions. The easiest way to accept pricing for paid services (like PS+ or PS Now) is to place the console in an easily acceptable price range which is obviously relative, but shouldn't be more expensive than previous console releases.

I feel like people are forgetting that video game prices typically go up with each generation. And if you go back far enough, they used to be a lot more expensive. 

Also, inflation. $60 10 years ago is now worth $71. So...

Its the same thing with paying for online ,  i paid for the game i pay for a internet connection why should i pay to play online. Companies are getting more greedy.

This some bullsh*t. 2k isn't doing smart delivery. In order to get the game free on PS5 you have to get the Mamba edition which costs $100. f*ck that sh*t.

 

I'll just wait for the PS5 edition.
