I would be sincerely disappointed if we wouldn't see improvement over GTA V.

Red dead 2 is definetly heavier on the gore compared to gta 5 but rockstar has a way of making things stylised just enough so it doesn't reach the uncanny valley or grimdark realism,the gore in red dead 2 is closer to a tarantino movie than the gore in the last of us 2 which goes more into a less style more real type of gore.

I've only just got over the ridiculous GTA V PS5 reveal and that were not gonna see GTA VI for many many years... 

 

With all this madness going off in the world today if the game is set in present time maybe Rockstar decided to change the story a little... or a LOT! GTA games have reputation for being a time capsules, hopefully it's set in the passed or in chapters moving forward in time and only the Online part is set in present time 

 

I think it would be very interesting to see Rockstars take on this pandemic and see in game parody characters and health organisations

You'll notice that games in which the main enemies are Zombies or 'non-human', the gore is always much higher. It's to do with the fact that for whatever reason, it's okay to mutilate or see blood and guts in realistic looking games when it's not against people. Some games can still do it, Fallout, for example. But even then, it's depicted in a more humorous way. 

 

It's unfortunate.

Tbh it's pretty saddening, Andy used to be one of the guys who interacted with the fierce and annoying GTA fans constantly asking for a GTA V cover reveal. And GI trolled us all so much over the years. Such a shame that now both Andy and Matt Bertz are gone

the funny thing is gta v was probably the best open world game rockstar i would say made  i know most would say rdr 2 and i like that game but the whole western thing aint for me good game still play it but not nearly as much as five , 

but five also destroyed rockstar in many ways with greed from online i get it they are a company  and want to make money but there used to be the kings of sp open world games , 

and if online was a flop like rdr online has been we would have sp dlc for five and rdr 2 and probably bully 2 . 

but because of it sp dlc was scrapped for five was never going to happen for rdr 2 and bully 2 was canned for them to focus on gta six maybe but more so this new remaster of five for the next gen.
