Bashing YouTubers and making the topic about it (or any other kind of antagonism) will net you a warning for derailing the topic.

 

Please use some common sense too while discussing subjects, don't delve too deep into speculating about people's personal lives (e.g. Houser departure from R*, Rockstar developers, etc.) as they deserve privacy and not a raging fan forum to make up things about them. Needless to say, any hate will be quickly nipped in the bud.

I distinctly remember a LOT of people hating GTA IV when it released. It was so disappointing going from San Andreas, multiple cities and helicopters, fighter jets, gang wars and other cool exciting things... to one city, and no exciting weapons or vehicles. Now GTA IV is considered the best. Perhaps one possibility is those that played GTA growing up have become jaded for multiple reasons. I know I am to a minor extent. 

 

GTA V's story was just too short for me. And the cancelled SP DLC which was then lied about felt pretty bad :(

I agree about needing balance in terms of both games.  I think it was the five year wait for GTA V and having only GTA IV to play on the PS3 or 360 that probably magnified the frustrations people had with IV.  And I also agree about going from Los Santos to Vice not being that big a change, I can seem them adding variation with the new weather effects such as the rumoured storms and lightning strikes, then add swamps and the keys. And if the rumour of Liberty City possibly being in the game is true then it will have a more variation in one GTA game than any of the previous ones.

 

I think the writers got bored of the story and wanted to wrap it up as quickly as they could, it's why the game never really has a big moment where the characters hit a real low point like in the previous games. Imagine if they had done the story dlc and the liberty city expansion, the characters take part in a big heist that goes wrong and all three have to leave Los Santos to hide out for a while in LC, we get some old characters coming back from IV for missions and newer characters as well. Plus seeing Trevor deal with LC would've been pretty great.

The only thing that impressed me about the Preacher was the fact that last week he said something like "something is coming soon but it's not what you think" alluding to the Gta V re release. 

That was before the Amazon listings..

 

Fact of the matter is its sad that Rockstar is so silent.

 

I understand that's their way of operating but basically people like Yan, Tez, the admins and maybe even Preacher are the ones that generate hype. They should be on the payroll for Rockstar.

I think most of the time those listings operate as "red herrings" meaning they are placeholders.

Sure we will also get Rdr 2 soon but I don't expect anything else for the time being. 

 

However after the backlash that they got (dislike like ratio) anything is possible. 

 

With Rockstar ALWAYS expect the worst. If you dont believe me check the old topic where people predict the release date.

I think the announcment is closer than we think. As Kirsty said; the ps5 port for gta v doesn't affect the other games they are working on.

This and the liberty city screenshot leak makes me believe the city would be there to some degree in gta 6

This would be dope in Single Player. Air drops in Vice City (maybe, even Rockstar’s own version spoofing the Everglades on the way outskirts of town). You could purchase beacons and you’d be able to know exactly where the drop was due to the frequency letting you know where it was. Drugs, weapons... sh*t like that. On that Cocaine Cowboy lifestyle. :lol:
 

 


For some reason when I linked the Cocaine Cowboys: Air Drops video it linked a completely different video. Weird but you get the idea...
