Let's just imagine the planned timeline for GTA 6 is on schedule, maybe a few months out because of COVID. 2020-2021 announcement, 2022-2023 release.

 

GTA V *not* being re-released is not going to bring GTA 6 any closer, really, is it?. RDR2 is less than 2 years old. There hasn't been a new Witcher or Fallout in 5 years, hasn't been a new Elder Scrolls in 9 years, apart from their MMO counterparts. So if GTA 6 is unaffected, why are people so upset?

Re-re-releasing and enhancing the already enhanced game really does sound so (tragi)comical coming from one of the greatest developers like R*, that I do kinda start believing this is either a dream or they really are releasing the GTA 6 in 2021 and this GTA V for PS5 nonsense is just trolling, teasing and part of their new marketing strategy for the NEW game. GTA V for PS5 was just a joke, a meme, right? We were all joking about it before and now they're supposedly actually doing it?

I am worried about future of all Rockstar games, who made them re re release GTA V for ps5. I Love GTA 4 and GTA 5 both and I am thinking if they are going to strip out dx10 and dx11 and replace with dx12 and Vulkan api.

I hope nothing much will be removed from GTA 5 pc version. I don't even have a Vulkan or dx11 enabled gpu in my laptop either. This is going to be a tough change for pc users. GTA 4 for life. I hope Everywhere game should cause a huge disruption.

I am looking forward to the new era.

I have something to clear:

 

1) I am no rockstar bootlicker. I dont particularly like them as a company. They created toxic environment for their employees and allow sh*tty managers to be sh*tty and the ridiculous crunch times is f*cking disgusting. 

 

2) I don't like gta online. It has sh*tty microtransactions and incredibly grindy. Not my type of game and seeing it get this much support makes me kinda mad.

 

3) As much as we throw sh*t at rockstar, lets not forget about sony doing that tease. They added that black rockstar logo at the beginning of the trailer to hype us up.  When i saw that it was gta 5 remaster, deep down i was disappointed that my fav game is getting dragged to mud. 

 

4) The only reason why i am defending rockstar is because im not the type of person to talk ill will about a company. Especially a game company like rockstar. They made a good part of my childhood. So i cant talk sh*t about them unless someone from rockstar comes and kills my family.

 

5) I am still excited for the remaster because I love the game. I can understand why some people dont like the game and doesn't want to see it get milked. 

 

6) Please stop making fun of my username ffs. I made it when I was a dumb teen.

You don’t need to explain this buddy. It’s called freedom of speech. As I see it, you try to defend/ explain objectively. You are not subjecting your emotions too much in your posts as I see that anger and frustration is floating here (to be expected after that “f*ck you” from Rockstar). 
 

Once in a while, these companies are just that high up the ladder that they think they can manipulate and extract money from everything. They need to be reminded that they got there because of us, the fans. It’s up to us to make a point. Defending this re-re-release meaning blindly accepting what rockstar does. I don’t see that here. Most of us are trying to speculate how they can add that garbage to the new consoles and still earn money (by providing more content). Rockstar is not shallow, just greedy. They will probably deliver something. If not, they turned stupid and management needs changing.

 

And, deep down, we all like Rockstar for the products that they deliver. That’s why we formed a community on these forums.

As long as they add significant additional content to GTA V you could understand it. If they do I understand the decision but if it’s just a graphical enhancement then they can quite frankly sod off.

Because of the way it was announced and the cheapness of it all. Now if Sony wanted to announce a GTA V re-remaster at the PS5 event that's fine, but if you are going to start of your stream with the R* logo both companies know the audience would have been thinking GTA VI announcement, so to then show a GTA V trailer is only going to disappoint. To add to the disappointment they use footage from the very first trailer from 2011 and specifically parts of the map that are clearly from the beta and the rest is just gameplay. To add insult to injury the trailer is a mess, it has no flow, the music choice is strange and it uses moments from online that a lot of long-term fans consider a joke. That's one of the main reasons people are upset. Rockstar was a company built on originality, subversive and quality games. Not rehashing old ideas. 

 

So while releasing GTA V again doesn't delay GTA VI, it represents a level off greed and cheapness that consumers shouldn't have to put up with.

I kinda have a love/hate relation with R*.

They make great games , but at the same time they treat their fans like sh*t.

The correct way is to use something like Affinity Design... I started making fanart on here using Microsoft Powerpoint and just stuck to using that this whole time .

 

I'm starting to play around with affinity design more now though and I recommend using that too. Using power point is waay more time consuming and limiting for good reason but I kind of enjoyed working around the limits lol.
