Doesn't mean GTA VI won't come sooner. 

 

You guys ever think this next GTA (VI) will be the last GTA created by the talented original 3d era crew. I'm sure GTA VI was planned from way back yonder with input and notes taken. Now they have to not kill GTA Online but somehow keep it congruent with the next one. Now it all starts to make sense.

Maybe with all of this backlash Rockstar is getting, maybe they'll actually take this into consideration. They probably haven't even worked on the PS5 version yet, seeing that they didn't even show gameplay for it. Maybe it's not too late to change this.

It seemed they were hyping it up to be their next big cash cow. Instead whilst they tried to salvage the broken, unbalanced mess that was RDRO, they stole their own thunder by giving the GTA community the casino they'd screamed for since 2013. Honestly if it weren't for the community and their hard-on for that damn casino I'm sure we'd be seeing "Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to PS5 late 2021" instead.

 

Sure not GTA VI like we all want, but it's a lot more stomachable in the long run than what we're facing.

I do agree R* cocked up with RDRO, but don't believe it was the casino being added to GTA that hurt it anywhere as much as RDRO not having the content updates, lobby choices and freedom we do get in GTA:O to play far more how we want that's hurt RDRO's potential this last 2 years.

 

I strongly felt both games could run well side by side and RDRO would grow very well, but the game is so bare and slow to build up and that lack of options has pushed many away as they (at least I) just don't want to deal with the grief others can impose on us/me. I want to play with friends/family like I can in GTA:O and that's why that game proved better for me. The casino is fully invite only friendly while RDRO adds businesses and  defensive mode that allows disruption and for me to be killed at will while chilling out fishing or something. It's just not gaming to be another's plaything. Killed the game's potential too quickly for me and many I feel.

He obviously loves GTA V because he spent a good chunk of time working on it, and has been engaging with fans ever since. Roger Clarke and some other RDR2 voice actors are similar. Not sure what the problem is with it, just because he's using his platform to tell complainers to STFU? Constructive criticism is fine but there has been a lot of blind hate and whinging over the last 24 hours.

I feel bad for all the older fans. Some guys are already in their 50s, 60s, there's even someone here who's in their 70s. Who knows if they're going to be around in 10 years or so when the next GTA is announced.

The charts have pretty much been like that ever since it released once it dropped off the top spot, which is impressive over the span of 7 years and counting. I want GTA 6 or new Rockstar IP as much as anyone in this thread, but if you can't see why this is a business move encouraged by Take Two, then this must be your first pre-release rodeo lol. I don't think it's going to impact GTA 6 development at all.
