One would be for gta 5 and other would be for gta online

Are you 100% sure about that? Like honestly in a perfect world, Rockstar would go "BUT THAT'S NOT ALL YOU GET" and suprise us with something new and good a few days later, but i'm worried that we do not live in a perfect world.

Recently Schreier was on a podcast and he said that 2022-2023 is the most likely date, so you'll live. Still, 3 years is way too f*cking long and knowing Rockstar, i'll have to wait until 2024 for a PC version.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will be another V in terms of lifetime. It will be created to last for at least another decade and will be a cross-gen title between PS5 and 6. Although they do not need it for VI to last as long as V, I am wondering if they'd finally embrace a map add-on solution to fill the gap, even if it's not necessary to have it filled, because, again, players are still engaged with the same map for 7 years now. It'd be the only thing that can keep me, and people like me, coming back to the game, that is, if they add new maps with stories, characters and all, even if it can only be played Online. Maybe a new map every 2-3 years from the initial release? With everything running on the same engine, it'd not require a long development time as the initial release, I suppose.

I really don't want to rush my years waiting for  next GTA so I hope something similar to GTA will come, Doubt Watch Dogs will be any good but I do recall being there some rumors about Saints Row reboot.

 

Oh yes and there's Mafia remake on the way, I hope it will be good, but it's made by M3 devs so eh, who knows.

Well, the main reason I can't stand playing GTAO anymore is the map.

A map expansion would maybe make things fresh again.

 

Although to make V fresh and playable again they'd need to add like the whole of LC.

It's clear that the change inside company is big. They got rid of the crunch, culture is changing. Dan left, Leslie left, my prediction is that Sam will leave also, new people are showing up, they're creating less toxic environment for employees now. They need a sustainable model for grabing cash, or they can lock the doors forever since the culture is changed. There's no more working whole day to create GTA San Andreas 1 month before deadline. There's no more relying on developer's (employees) passion for the game in order to make them work the whole day. The world is changing and that's clearly affecting Rockstar Games.

Imagine if we get gta 6 on ps5 and rockstar will milk gta 6 by releasing it on ps6, ps7 and then releasing gta 7 for ps8. How would you guys feel?

If TES6 is being made to last a decade, then you can be damn sure GTA VI is being made to be the same. Or rather more accurately, GTA Online 2. It's why it makes no sense that GT AVI is 60-70% complete. I still believe development was likely restarted after the popularity of GTA Online exploded. Whatever GTA VI was initially would be scrapped in order to allow for GTA Online 2 to take full advantage. Just like GTA Online was initially Cops n' Crooks, and what it became at launch, and then turned into over the next 6+ years. People can complain all they like, but Rockstar don't work on multipla major games at once anymore. We got RDR2 5 years after GTA V. So GTA VI being considered "early development" does make sense. It'll be a while, but when it does come, it will likely stick around as long, perhaps longer than GTA V did.

In all of that I'm very happy about one thing.

 

Rockstar has been destroyed by fans across all platforms. Social media just smash them in comments section everywhere. Twitter,Instagram, YouTube. Everybody dislikes Rockstar for what they did. 

It wasn't a Good move. It worked against of them so much.

At least they know what we've got to say.

I agree. I'm glad the fans aren't allowing this cash grab to happen without criticism.

For them it is a way to get on a train that's heading to money land. With already 130 million copies sold worldwide, they know how successful their game is. Even though according to IGN GTA 5 is free within the first 3 months of release for the PS5, not everyone will be able to get their hands on the console during that time because almost every PlayStation 5 fan will be ordering the console on release and most of them will be back ordered for a couple months. And by the time most people receive the console, the 3 months will mostly be gone, thus GTA 5 enthusiasts having to re-buy the game for PS5.

And we don't know what Rockstar may do for GTA 5 for PS5. They may make changes with a few new missions or even quality of life updates which are specifically for PS5 or next gen consoles like they did when GTA 5 was ported over to PS4 from PS3. Rockstar may even resort to re-coding a lot of the game for next gen consoles as a lot of people are saying, the game isn't able to fully utilise the current gen console's power because it was originally made for PS3. And since it was ported over from PS3 to PS4 and from that to PS5, the same issue would persist. Because it was still originally made for PS3, not PS5.

Gta Online releases during the second half of 2021. The game will be free during the 3 months it has been released, not when the PS5 releases.
