There's always something to enhance if the horsepower is there.  Could easily have a 60 FPS mode too and such, just adapt the PC graphics settings to whatever specific things they wish to include.

Raymarching works on the clouds tho, it's totally different from ray tracing.

If they're going to enhance, I'm expecting those graphics settings on "low" to be switched to medium or high then. Those are the only gaps between consoles and PC.

RDR2 already has the best lighting system and shadows ( in games without ray trace ) even in GTA VI we wont see ray tracing feature! 
A big and detailed map in a open world game with ray trace is not possible in my opinion! ( i know some people will say Cyberpunk supports ray tracing but CP2007's map is not really big and i think Ray Tracing will be available only for PC ....i guess!)
Look at different weather in RDR2 how they can use ray trace?!!! it already looks great only thing they should work for next-gen RDR2 on PS5 is to bring PC ultra settings to console!

Almost positive we will lol. It also makes devs' work much easier, although of course they still have to do rasterised lighting for platforms that don't use raytracing. Remember VI is probably at least a year or two away, raytracing is going to be more of a thing on the consoles too by then.

 

Edit: In fact there was an interview around when RDR2 PC released where they said they'd be looking into ray tracing but I can't find it atm.

I'm sure raytracing will work better by the time VI gets released.
For now it's only supported by games that have pre-baked lighting and weather in their maps (see COD MW 2019) as far as I know.

a map expansion could really sell a rdr 2 ps5 version i always found it strange how they built mexico in the game with  and never added to free roam you could have just cut it out. 

you could to a ps5 port and add no story dlc look at new austin thats in the game but none of the story takes place there

Best they can do is to bring RDR2 PC ultra settings to PS5 ( 1080p 60fps + 4K 30fps ) 
(Go watch digital foundries videos for RDR2 PC version if you think PC version was just a console port...)

60fps rdr 2 is already a huge difference to the xbone version,i would be happy with that.

It's just a placeholder, the price will probably change when/if something gets actually announced.
