Sony clarified that the show will take place in 1080p and 30 fps due to current difficulties with the production of such events. 1080p30fps is already a familiar format for Sony. Well, since production has already started, it is obvious that Sony will prefer to show the console themselves, rather than give it to some Chinese with a worn camera.

Vice city is a place best appreciated in the summer time. So they would want to make the announcement then. 

People are going to be chilling,. Beaches are going to be full so a Gta vi announcement in late August would be fitting.

True but the GTA fanbase is not restricted to Miami, its global.

So they would want to release a trailer in Summer so it can be relatable to most people (excluding Australia and other places)

The problem is how long thats gonna last,as soon as the numbers start going up again celebrities are gonna freak out and the whole thing stops again.

The U.S didnt take the right precautions like other countries,so the virus isnt as contained there like other places.

Probably because in my country you can really tell that its Summer, seasons have huge weather contrasts (Greece) so i would love to get a Gta vi trailer in the summertime.

Anyway maybe i am a romantic!

i would like that too but i cant tell when rockstar last announced a game in the summer. and by the way things are looking, im betting theyre waiting for things to die down anyway so that they can have the spotlight on them. my guess is sometime this fall for an announcement

GTA V's first trailer literally starts on a sun soaked beach and the trailer was released in November.

 

So no, Rockstar don't want to release a trailer for GTA VI in the summer just cause it's (apparently) set in Vice City.

I was thinking, what if they recreate every GTA from the 3D era.

VIce City, San Andreas and Liberty City 3d storylines with just 1 protagonist.

He'll replace Tommy, Claude and Carl as a Gun for Hire in 4K.

His story will carry into every story but starts out as a Rag to Riches everytime he enters a new map.

Just my imagination imagining a imagined Project Americas with the reimagined 3d era with 4k development.

All citys will be more advanced then the 3d and Hd era maps.

Then GTA Online 2.0 will have all maps modernized to 2012 on 1 map.

This is what imagine from all the leaks.
