This is Grand Theft Auto. It's a game about crime. I want to play as someone who'd be believable as a dangerous criminal - beating up men, carjacking people and pulling them out of cars, being physically intimidating and respected in the criminal world. Agreed, a female protagonists would be a horrendous decision. Before the gender police get in a flap I'm only talking with regards to Grand Theft Auto, we've seen female main characters work in other games but I just don't feel it would work in a GTA game.

we have the actor's CV "jorge consejo" which says it worked at gta 6 until 2018, and the stuntman's cv "tim neff " which says it worked at gta 6 in 2017.
I would say that its development has definitely started since 2015 or earlier.

That's true but still those 2 sources are not as solid as the rush casting call. Maybe consejo lied so he can get some attention,and Tim neff did the motion capture and didn't voice any character (possibly). 

 

Its also quite possible that the gta vi casting was a closed private event.

Ever since I saw that video of that attractive female assassin jump off of a motorcycle and kill five guys, it's changed my view on things. Not that I was completely against it in the first place. 

 

I think pairing a woman with a man would be a lot easier than jumping right into having a sole female protagonist. It would eleviate a lot of pressure.

Wrong. Mafia 2 remaster and Mafia 4 were leaked, all credible since ratings for a Mafia 2 remaster were uncovered and confirmed the leak which also talked about Mafia 4.

Mafia 3 getting a definitive edition as well. The rating were uncovered after the original leak stating a Mafia 2/3 "remaster" and Mafia 4 coming. There's several different "leaks" floating around so no clue which one is BS and which one is real but there is definitely something going on with Mafia.

I'm not bothered about Mafia 4, I didnt even play the last game. Would love a Mafia 2 remaster though, that game was brilliant.

It's not straight forward but apparently it's for the set of 3. Mafia Definitive Edition will include Mafia 1, 2, and 3 but Mafia 1 will be the last one to show up later.

Maybe not. But the fact that both 2K and Rockstar are both subsidiaries of Take Two. The heads at Take Two wouldn't allow one of their smaller studios to blow millions making a game when their biggest cash cow is already embarking down a similar creative path.

Mafia 4 please. But go back to the roots of real mafia. I wanna see more open freeroam but cold blooded killings and gore. And be able to choose a family etc.

Gta and mafia are set in different time periods so the city would look different in both games. Also rockstar and 2k would have different ideas of how the city looks

There were already creative differences there though. Wasn't Saint Denis named New Bordeaux for a good chunck of development? Plus, 19th Century New Orleans and 1970s New Orleans are two different ball games. Anything Las Vegas based would more than likely be set in the last 50 years at most.

Well it's not like they have constant communication. Remember the whole New Bordeaux fiasco. They had to re-record lines ( original name for Saints Dennis was New Bordeaux).

if they "have to" (these days it seems trendy) include one it should only happen if the multiple protagonist system returns. Think about the best gangster movies, tv shows and games..they are always male dominated. Think about the current gangs worldwide and again they are male dominated.

Exceptions do exist but not sure why we need a GTA game (that we waited for likely 10 years) to focus on that. That would be a real hype killer

If Luis and Gay Tony return that would be awesome but I don’t see it happening in the next installment. I mean, if it were a Ballad of Gay Tony sequel then it would be “Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony: The Return” or some sh*t. It wouldn’t be GTA VI and then a sequel to something else
