They planned a sequel in 2010, or at least 2011. So no. Performance capture, not motion capture, is ongoing. It starts at the begginning, and ends... near the end. It isn't done early, or late on. But throughout.

Well Uncle´s original voice actor John O´Creagh passed away in 2016, I think only a few days after RDR2 was officially revealed in October. The original voices of Uncle are inside the game files I think and they renamed a lake in the game in a way of respect for the man that sadly passed away. I think they started to record voices and all that in 2014/2015, but yeah the full development of the game it´s different so they could have started to work fully on the game at 2015 last months or early 2016, wow thinking about that that´s why I don´t understand people who wants games with a lot of quality but they want them so fast. GTA V, RDR2 and other non-related R* games that are incredible games are not developed in 2 years or less, they need a lot of years to be developed in a good way.

For all we know, they had been doing tours over a 2 month period, a 3 month period, maybe longer. 'Recently' is a very broad term. And it's also rather contextual. For somone who's been working in that field for let's say 30 years, then recently can be withing the past few years. She'd never worked with a digital media company before. She'd worked with movies, TV and music videos, to my knowledge. To be clear, I don't actually think she ment 3 years, by recently. Just kinda' stating how it can be contextual. But I'd guess somewhere within August - November. Ideally, you'd want to scout Miami & Florida in the summer. So maybe August to September/October could have been a recent period. But maybe they'll include seasons, who knows... I could go on and on for a while.

i think that leak is real not 100 percent but a digital media company scouting in florida . 

sounds legit and i am certain vice city will be the main setting just by process of elimination rockstar are creatures of habit they have reused the same locations for over 20 years now . 

liberty city might come back for 6 but has been used as a main location in the hd era already and they are going to do san andreas again . 

so vice city makes sense .

There's a reason it's been almost 7 years with no announcement. Add into that the easing of crunch culture and the delays brought on by COVID-19 WFH... it's gonna' be a while. Seriously. It took them 5 years and a month to release RDR2 after V. What makes you think they're gonna' get out GTA VI sooner?

I liked a couple episodes in Season 5. The Sonny Burnett arc was too short imo a lot of people hated it though.

I personally think the 7+ year gap (and counting) is purely because they've always wanted to release it and make it for the next generation consoles.

Yan said, that 60 people were working on it in pre-production stage so it's definitely possible.

My interpretation of the dates since 2018 is that rdr2 entered pre production in 2010 and had a small group of people working on it till early 2013,then it entered full production,5 year of development.

Similar thing with gta 6 but i still believe bully 2 was a thing inside rockstar between 2017 and late 2018 so gta6 development got pushed back a little.

Making 2023 or 2024 the year of release.

When Rockstar released GTA IV their fans were teenagers, now they are in their late 20s/early 30s.

That game took a long time to grow on people as it was a big departure from the predecessors. For me, I think I began to love it about 6 years later or so. The story is probably one of the best in terms of GTA as it's grittier. GTA V is pretty weak storywise.

Yeah, when Crockett turned into Burnett on the finale of Season 4 and picked up right on the premier of Season 5 which lasted 2 episodes I think I kind of was meh... Season 5 was dark as hell too. Felt really gritty

 

Dude turned into an alter ego after an explosion lol
