Bashing YouTubers and making the topic about it (or any other kind of antagonism) will net you a warning for derailing the topic.

 

Please use some common sense too while discussing subjects, don't delve too deep into speculating about people's personal lives (e.g. Houser departure from R*, Rockstar developers, etc.) as they deserve privacy and not a raging fan forum to make up things about them. Needless to say, any hate will be quickly nipped in the bud.

I’m already picturing drug smuggling in Vice City. Haha! Just imagine Rockstar also spoofing a few tiny islands in the Bahamas to go back and fourth too whether it’s by boat or by plane smuggling drugs and weapons.

We're cleaning up off-topic because every single discussion about this has become toxic, nothing else! We have a couple topics about it in general chat! We also had a topic in the GTAO section to talk about Rockstar's stance but the OP requested it got locked after it, once again, started becoming toxic.

 

If you read anything else you'd see we're perfectly in support, but there's a line between allowing conversations to go off-topic and eventually toxic and being supportive about something. This is a damned if we do, damned if we don't situation - if we let the whole discussion go to the end we have reports of people saying we should be deleting toxicity (we should), if we don't we have complaints we're not allowing discussion.

I think back then development of new titles only took 1-2 years so it was easier for new titles to be published. Nowadays only a handful of developers can risk their resources for at least 4 years to make something similar to GTA

Michael Mann also directed Manhunter it took place in Florida and used a couple of the same locations that the Miami Vice show did. It'd be cool to have a side mission or an easter egg about a serial killer on the loose.

Being Honest, I dont care one bit if it goes the stereotypical scarface/ Cocaine cowboys backstory and plot. An immigrant protagonist fresh off the marielitos with a chip on their shoulder to follow that American Dream even if it means by the illegal way.  I want that protagonist to feel like they actually look forward to making the moves to get to the top, that they can't afraid of getting killed because thats the gamble you take for being in the drug game. That, you need to do the things necessary to build your empire, and that if you become an antagonist it would be something on a different level.  That the experiences can change the protagonist as a person, facing the realities of what they strive to be.

That doesn’t make any sense what so ever if the story takes palce in modern days as a lot of people I imagine took him out in 5. 
 

But if it takes place in earlier years it is a possibility to see young Trevor. However I can not imagine it.

That cargo job that went wrong in the 90s where Michael met Trevor has always interested me. But after V I've had enough of those two idiots and don't want to see them in the next game.

Would be nice them in a more serious fashion, they both have potential to be the nastiest and most brutal protags ever in a gta game. All throughout the game Trevor talks about the old Michael and when Trevor has his serious moments you can tell he’s not f*cking around, so the pair of them have alot of potential.

Supposing that it's Vice City I can't really imagine a McCreary there for some reason. Feels like Derrick needs to be near his family before leaving for Ireland. The rest would be interesting.

Depends if it's set in Liberty City or not. It's not guaranteed that if they do the 80's it's going to be in Vice City but going back to Liberty City again would be disappointing.

Absolutely, people are really hyped for Vice City. Well, so they were before V as well but this time it has to be it.
