Bashing YouTubers and making the topic about it (or any other kind of antagonism) will net you a warning for derailing the topic.

Please use some common sense too while discussing subjects, don't delve too deep into speculating about people's personal lives (e.g. Houser departure from R*, Rockstar developers, etc.) as they deserve privacy and not a raging fan forum to make up things about them. Needless to say, any hate will be quickly nipped in the bud.

Would you guys like rideable public transport in the game again? Does Miami have any besides a bus system?

"interactivity" is probably more what I was looking for so you've put it better than I could. The player being able to "do" things inside them or utilise them in some way, i.e. looting, shopping, purchasing, upgrading, and keeping it that way when we go back and visit.

I just want to be able to pick up, take and use tools that are on the wall, like in Simeon's dealership. If I can do it in real life, then I would like to be able to do it in game. Let me take a wrench of the wall and go nuts.

Very much plausible on next generation consoles.

If they implemented it in GTA 6 then the buildings would have to magically regenerate after some time

I'd love to have that again. Even rideable buses would be awesome -- correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think any other GTA has that?

Immersion! Taking the train or Metro in GTA IV & V isn't that useful, but you can do it and it's cool!

What's the benefit though, really?

Obviously more interiors than V/IV would be better, malls, police stations, hospitals, important locations and all that. But people float the idea of every house and building and it's like... what's the actual benefit of that? You could rob every house, but RDR2 has an element of that particularly with homesteads and that gets uninteresting after a short while.

One of the arguments against a giant map (and even GTA V's map) is that there's a lot of unused space. If Rockstar had anywhere north of say 50% of buildings being enterable the new complaint would be "why did they make all these interiors and do nothing with them". Quality over quantity doesn't just apply to map size it also applies to interior count. Out of the single player and online, it'd probably be the latter that benefits more from more interiors due to more interior spaces to use for various missions and game modes too.

Personally speaking more interiors would be cool but they won't solve anything if we're talking them going nuts with it. What the world needs IMO is more interactivity. They dabbled in it with RDR2 so I'm hoping they expand on it a lot with GTA VI, things like being able to pick objects and items up, interact with them, use them as weapons, place them down how you want, combine them with other things, interact with food vans, shops on the street, interact with NPC's on the street in more ways than "hi", "sorry" and "fight me", etc etc.

For Single Player reasons I can understand that theres no need for many interiors unless its mission based or has actual gameplay, but for Online/FiveM it would be extremely useful, most map modding these days on GTA V is mostly related to FiveM servers, example: Burger Shot interiors, home interiors, businesses, criminal. Most of them modded over from Online DLC but theres alot of custom stuff too. I just hope we get no loading screens whatsoever in the future with regards to interiors.

ROCKSTAR MANIC

@Kirsty @Jason One example of variety of interiors is SR2, has an unground mall with different levels and stores to shop, takeout shops,  etc hell it even has a underground cavern system with different ways to get out. It sacrificed visuals and graphics but it established that sometimes content is just better than looking good. its wasn't big but it also had like two different islands, prison  and a nuclear plant which was a good diversity nod. Hell it had a suburbs area, ghettos, a trailer park and a corporate center. I think its doable now to expand a map where its super diverse, V is diverse but it short increments. I want a bit of both but with more content than what the visuals bring. I dont mind RDR2 style graphics or the like for more content. At the time if you wanted realism you played IV, or the exact opposite of having wackiness and fun you played SR2.

R* can expand on how RDR2 gives you options to flesh out your character with different clothes, in depth customizable guns, a customizable horse to even the details of what saddle has. Hell I want to be able to customize my vehicle to the level of depth like RDR2. Of course i know its different because ones about the west and another in the reality of modern time.  its time R* expands its map with more interiors, it doesn't have to be every corner of every street, but like RDR2 has a aspect of the different amenities it provides the player.

Ye no GTA had that yet. We only got trains. And well planes in SA but that isn't public transport.

Agreed. Mafia had trams and a train system and although probably no one used any of them (except when you had to) it was still cool and made the city feel alive. I loved that in IV and V. People getting on and off and waiting, so much immersion.

Taking the bus from Liberty City to Vice City really reminds me of the ending of Midnight Cowboy.

Spoiler

Have you ever played a game and had the reaction or feeling of "Oh my god, I can actually do X" or "I can go in there!?" it's basically that.

That's not a good reason to do something like that on it's own though. You want to do something that has both the "oh wow I can actually do that?" feeling and be something that's still interesting once that feeling is gone. Simply being able to enter a building doesn't do both, even being able to loot them on their own doesn't do it really. Something like Skyrim's buildings work well (for the most part) because you can interact with a lot of the NPC's inside, find quests, treasures, all that stuff. Interactivity, innit?

Just a bit of financial news. Wells Fargo has given T2 an 'overweight' rating. This basically means that they anticipate the company's value will substantially increase soon. They're predicting a share price of $150 (currently it's around $120). Now what might cause a share price to jump 25%?  🤔

Wow, it’s a strong call. I guess we will see two big projects at least: GTA6 from R* and new game from 2K.

I am still believing in South Florida with the map I linked. The problem is that the Everglades are a huge empty wetland so I hope they will cut out most of it. They should keep some so we can go on those boat tours. The one that looks like the Vortex from SA just with more space.

Which map you linked?

I'd love to ride the bus in GTA. But imo buses would fit a game like Bully more.

Bus driver mini game achievement, like taxis or ambulance, but you'd have to complete the whole route of the bus line without killing anyone >:)

New Mafia game perhaps?

I heard it won’t be Mafia, totally new project with an open world. I also heard they wanted to make a Vegas, but R* said they can’t 😂

That basically is what I mean. But also, I guess I'm just a little different to you. I just like being able to go in places, even when they don't have a good use. To put that a better way, I'd rather be able to go in them and have nothing to do, than not be able to go in at all.

But yeah, of course. I do want things to actually do inside the interiors. That's kinda' a given.

Ah well that's unfortunate. Seems interesting though, guess we'll see what 2K has to offer with this new IP. A new Bioshock would be killer.

And where did you hear this from ? Because right now the biggest rumour is Mafia 4 will be in Vegas. I don't think R* have the power to claim an Open world Vegas as solely their own

My POV is more from a work load point of view too. Why make something that has no gameplay use or benefit when you can spend that time making stuff that does?

If they built a feature set around it, awesome, but my guess is that would require a more grounded game and not a game where you end up a bajillionaire half way through the story. You could do stuff like having a lockpicking stat you leveled up, so you can only break into cheaper houses early on but later in the game you could lockpick the mansions and sh*t where you can loot more valuable stuff?

I still would guess that a lot of copy and paste work would be done for the interiors, it'd be no different to what see today with GTAO apartments and houses I assume, even if they don't have teleports in. Lot of the same layouts.

I do agree. But, I can still have my own personal desires. Although, it's not like Rockstar don't make areas that don't get used, or used only once in their maps. I was pretty disappointed Fort Zancudo was never used once in GTA V's story missions (Until I found out it was used in a heist setup that I did a different way) And it could have had more interactivity than just "break in, steal something, probably die" But hey, at least you can break in and try.

I would like more stats though. Lockpick is unlikely, that's very RPG-like. But I would want things like that. Even if it's just a piece of kit, like RDR2.
