I'll explain again. 

GTA VI will sell great and shark cards will be trough the roof as you said regardless of the era. That's all true.

I'm saying that it makes more sense to release the game in the modern era because you have more variables to work with.

More variables to sell = more money. Quick maths.

Let's say you are R*. If they say to you that you will make a sh*t ton of cash regardless of your decission, but if you decide to go one path you will make even more extra cash, what would you do? Obviusly even more money.

This is the logic I'm trying to explain to you.

who says the game cant be set in past and modern day. 

it makes sense to do this as benzies said vice city is at its best in the 80s thats why most diehard fans like it and it makes sense for a drug running storyline. 

and modern day for online . 

it can be done people say time jumps cant be done this is a video game it does not have to make sense its a patch job on the map between the eras not a rebuild like some would say .

example: RDR2, not a lot of people like cowboys or anything western but that sold well, also had an amazing story but you're on horses 24/7, why aren't people begging for mk2 or any car at all over there? because they don't care, it's a game

if anything they're complaining that it's not true enough to the western theme with online clothing

an rdr 2 remaster makes sense  i think the cops n crooks upcoming dlc will be the last online update . 

so they need something to hold them over for two to three years an rdr 2 remake makes sense it not a major jump to make that from the current version slightly updated graphics a mexico map expansion and focus on rdr online that makes sense .

This is false. The game was developed in Scotland, Rockstar North. Nothing is developed in NYC, that's where is their headquarters and marketing team.

Gta online still popular and many people play it. It will be good for them to have a change. Like a liberty city expansion which rockstar cancelled before
