Bashing YouTubers and making the topic about it (or any other kind of antagonism) will net you a warning for derailing the topic.

 

Please use some common sense too while discussing subjects, don't delve too deep into speculating about people's personal lives (e.g. Houser departure from R*, Rockstar developers, etc.) as they deserve privacy and not a raging fan forum to make up things about them. Needless to say, any hate will be quickly nipped in the bud.

Governments around the world continue to force social distancing as the general public continue to spread false rumors about GTA 6. Analysts say the rumours originated from a Scottish man in March 2020 but it is not yet clear. What is clear is the World's stock markets are at an all time low over the lack of news and billions around the world are begging Rockstar to announce GTA 6 across all social media platforms. However, Rockstar remains silent and continues to promote discounts for GTA Online. This has led to mass protests outside Rockstar's studios and politicians are fearful this wont end until 2023.

Yeah hopefully they don't just have a fade to black cutscene like they did in San Andreas instead there is like a 30 second scene of you flying in the plane and you can look around and outside the plane. Would be really cool.

Just a bit of financial news. Wells Fargo has given T2 an 'overweight' rating. This basically means that they anticipate the company's value will substantially increase soon. They're predicting a share price of $150 (currently it's around $120). Now what might cause a share price to jump 25%?  🤔

They're annual report is due in May, but not sure if that'll be delayed with COVID-19. 

 

I remember back then it was easy to speculate a new release because their earning calls would go from "average year" to "we're earning a billion next year!" and we'd be like 👀

 

It's a bit harder to do that now they already earn so much money.

Obviously more interiors than V/IV would be better, malls, police stations, hospitals, important locations and all that. But people float the idea of every house and building and it's like... what's the actual benefit of that? You could rob every house, but RDR2 has an element of that particularly with homesteads and that gets uninteresting after a short while.

 

One of the arguments against a giant map (and even GTA V's map) is that there's a lot of unused space. If Rockstar had anywhere north of say 50% of buildings being enterable the new complaint would be "why did they make all these interiors and do nothing with them". Quality over quantity doesn't just apply to map size it also applies to interior count. Out of the single player and online, it'd probably be the latter that benefits more from more interiors due to more interior spaces to use for various missions and game modes too.

 

Personally speaking more interiors would be cool but they won't solve anything if we're talking them going nuts with it. What the world needs IMO is more interactivity. They dabbled in it with RDR2 so I'm hoping they expand on it a lot with GTA VI, things like being able to pick objects and items up, interact with them, use them as weapons, place them down how you want, combine them with other things, interact with food vans, shops on the street, interact with NPC's on the street in more ways than "hi", "sorry" and "fight me", etc etc.

Mafia or Bioshock. Mafia doesn't really bring the share prices up especially after Mafia 3 disappointing a lot of people.

 

They also had the NBA2K players tournament air on ESPN so that helps too.

having some geographical diversity would be essential. A big enough map not to feel like aircraft are pointless. in GTA V there was one airport, an airfield at sandy shores and then grapeseed. As much as I just love flying for the fun of it, having somewhere to go makes it feel more practical. Or at least feeling like taking a plane is faster. In GTA V, by the time you get to the airport you probably could have gotten to where you were going anyway.

 

Imagine Miami, Tampa, Orlando and uba off the coast. With the countryside in between, ocean and the everglades and keys...🥰

Finally implement the Gator keyes with that prime real estate!?

IIRC a lot of these things were already possible in GTA IV, not in V though

Personally I'm very much on the 'a bigger map would be a great thing' team. Though I agree that interiors all over the place would be pointless. In real life (and in normal life, now a seemingly distant memory) you would never enter 99.99% of all the houses and businesses you drive by every day.

If the game has an advanced destruction system wherein you could blow holes into buildings I could understand the wish for those buildings to contain interiors.

Yeah this is more like it. I didn't mean just empty buildings, "interactivity" is probably more what I was looking for so you've put it better than I could. The player being able to "do" things inside them or utilise them in some way, i.e. looting, shopping, purchasing, upgrading, and keeping it that way when we go back and visit. Kind of like the choices we're given in roles in GTAO and RDO, but fully fleshed out and more accessible for single player.

If LC makes an appearance as a smaller, more limited story section (akin to Guarma), a cool way of doing it would be to have an objective like Fly to Liberty City, similar to how it's done in Bury The Hatchet from Trevor's perspective.

There is a concept of a cozy home, office, entrance ..So that you on the other side of the monitor do not suffer from imagination and interiors fill in the gaps in the game or distract you.In rdr2 it was at the highest level,but in a project like GTA it will be more difficult..But I believe R* surprised me every time!!

Have you ever played a game and had the reaction or feeling of "Oh my god, I can actually do X" or "I can go in there!?" it's basically that. Just having more places to explore, root around, find items or easter eggs. Have shootouts in cool locations, or just generally have fun in. People like to go places. I guess another good way to explain it is the opposite. Not being able to enter certain locations just feels bad. Seems disappointing. Doesn't always make sense, but it's just one of those things. People like having access to locations and interiors.

 

Expand on what RDR2 did. Again look at RPG's, Skyrim or Fallout. Just being able to enter buildings and look around, find junk and maybe collectables is fun for some people. I loved going into a building and rooting through cupboards and draws. I'm nosey like that.
