I mean imagine if next week's State of Play showed a Rockstar logo in one of the videos and then it was just an yet-again enhanced GTA V for next gen   This forum would both climax and be blueballed in a second.

As a console gamer (Console master race)  I'd still take it. I was pretty disappointed it was never enhanced to 4K on X1X.

We know, I know that GTA VI is coming. So I'd take whatever I can get between now and then.

Just some info, many gaming news sites have stated that Sony want to show off first party titles at this conference and no third party game will be there.

i dont think even rockstar would do that they have milked gta v to the hilt plus you consider they have had employees complaining about crunch time . 

working on another remaster in addition to a large project like 6 dont see it they canned bully 2 to work on 6. 

so i dont see them working on another port plus the fact that both gta v and rdr 2 are backwards compatible unless it had a map expansion or story dlc people aint going to buy it. 

not to mention ps5 and x box series x will boost frame rates and reduce load times for backwards compatible games so rockstar aint going to get away with a another port.

2 seconds in. You can see it's white. Since white doesn't have any colour to it, under any lighting it will look whatever colour of light you shine onto it. in this case, the dimly lit teaser makes it look black. But it is still white.

Rockstar would probably announce Bully: Scholarship Edition: Remastered, instead. And it wouldn't even have anything to do with Bully 2, because they still wouldn't release it.

If anything GTAVI related were to show up at the event It would mean an official announcement from Rockstar themselves would have to happen between Monday-Wednesday.

 

They're not giving Sony the pleasure of also announcing a game that's almost as big as a console reveal itself.

Well yeah, Rockstar have never really been one for having their games at another company's conference.

 

The most they ever did was allow Sony to show the GTA V remaster and that was not a new game.

Not easy to justify making a port now that the next gen consoles can play old generation games now.

Yup even that was surprise, was remaster but still on of the highlights of the conference for me.

 

It also helped that the months beforehand I was arguing with posters on here who were so adamant a next gen edition wasn't happening, they believed so strongly that after a while I felt like maybe I was the one taking crazy pills for thinking it was the obvious play for Rockstar lol.

We still need to know the timeframe of when the overwhelming majority will be available. Maybe I'm being too cynical but remasters doing so well this gen combined with PSnow potentially losing one of it's bigger selling points makes me wary on their wording whenever they start talking backwards compatibility.

 

Hopefully everything works out fine, but deep down I'm expecting something similar to how XB1 tackled playing a select number of 360 games.

PS5 reveal and GTA6 announcement is too much for the Internet I suppose. It will be on separate occassions when nothing overshadows Rockstar (given that anything is capable of doing that).

Will the sales figures of GTA 5 decrease after the new gen consoles come out ? What do you think ?

Normally, I absolutely wouldn't see them doing that. But now, we are in a bit of a situation where they had to wait for next-gen announcements to even show VI. So who knows, maybe this will remove the barrier and finally allow them to show what they've had for us since a long time.

 

Maybe not at the event itself, but soon after. Wouldn't seem like a terrible idea to ride the hype-wave that PS5 will bring.
