No matter what we say GTAO, it provides Rockstar leeway to fully realize their lofty ambitions and make something like RDR2. (I personally like GTAO, current heist update brought me back after I stopped playing in early 2018 but it could've been so much better, sigh)

Also GTAV's current gen and the superb PC port were no generic efforts neither.

Can't belivie, seven years later, GTAVI still no news.

Back on 25th March the site went down expecting GTA6. Then prophets on GTAF and Twitter concluded announcement is delayed due to Wuhan. Now some of us anticipates GTA6 announcement on PS5 event on 4th June. Could you guys just pretend you have a slight amount of consistency when you claim such things? There was no gaming event or showcase planned on 25th when every single person's gone mad because of a supposed reveal. Now it's "apparently" delayed as the pandemic inaugurates himself and all of a sudden Rockstar needs Sony to reveal the next GTA? Which Rockstar didn't even want when we didn't talk about a pandemic? Where is the so-called logic in that?

exactly. Im a GTA fanboy since ever, bit CDPR did a great job with the witcher and they will do it again with cyberpunk.

 

and thats a good example, that good games will take a lot investement of time and love (not like ubisoft or EA)

I'm mildly interested, more from a technical standpoint, but there's zero chance of me getting one.

 

Not that I will judge people who do, it's just I haven't owned a console in 40 years.

Funny, they should be playable without developers concern. It's literally the same architecture.

I guess the statement got took out of context. PS5 will have PS4 backwards compatibility yeah, i think they where point out that upcoming ps4 games ahould be made with PS5 also in mind so they could have even better performance on PS5, same how they did with PS4 PRO, games are made to work with a regular PS4 but they added more options for PRO version in games for more frames, 4k graphics, etc.

Maybe yes, maybe no. It seems, that Sony itself doesn't have clear statement on backward compatibility or they have very serious communication issues.

Looks like the controller will be black after all, looks so much better than the white one. I'm guessing this means the console will be available in both white and black.

That sucks man. I had a pretty painful surgery like two days before RDR2 launched on PC and it was lame as hell knowing I had to experience all that before playing. Hope it all goes well for you.

I didn't know this. I thought that, right out of the box, there was supposed to be a huge drive toward BC with the PS5. I really hope there is, to be honest. It was a huge problem with the PS4, which basically rendered all my PS3 games useless, since BOTH my PS3's are launch models from LMAO 2006, and in 14 years, they have truly not aged well. One was bricked about a year ago, and the other is still hanging on by a thread, but can only play DVDs and BDs, as well as download games, but won't play any games off my MANY PS3 discs. If Sony doesn't make the PS5 BC, that will be a huge problem for me, as I have a lot of PS4/XBone games, and I'm pretty sure MS is making The Artist Formerly Known as Project Scarlet fully BC.

For me, its whatever sequel INSOMNIAC is making for the 2018 Spider-Man game. Man, that PS4 game is literally one of my favorite games in the history of videogames.

Actually if you look better you can see it is white, especially when they show the buttons closer.

There is a little Spidey fanboyism for me, I won't deny that. But truly it is a spectacular game to me, not just decent. The webslinging and other traversal, the design of Manhattan, and the combat are just unbelievably fun. I can get lost in that game so much, and for so many hours, its not even funny. There have been decent and even good Spidey games in the past. Hell, Web of Shadows, from a pure gameplay standpoint, was one very well implemented game. Yes, INSOMNIAC's game is the best Spidey game to date, but its more than just a "decent game" to me.

It's white. It's just darkened under the shadows. In the video you can see it's still white. Looks like a lot of people are setting themselves up for disappointment by presuming the console comes in two colours. 

(Inevitably the controllers will eventually come in different colour schemes, as they always do)

My guess is a re-release of RDR2. Maybe as something like a complete edition if they deliver a story DLC.

 

I'd probably buy it since it's a phenomenal game. But the announement wouldn't hype me up at all.
