Probably don't want to set any expectations with GTA, which is Take-Two's crown jewel and the one title every shareholder wants to know about. So if the reports about GTA VI releasing in 2023 because of the chart are false it's a good idea to nip that in the bud nice and early before it lingers and shareholders start to believe it.

So we now certainly know it wont come in 2023.

I think TTWO made this statement compulsory. Because they have lost a lot of value in the stock market since the rumours of 2024 appeared. 

After the report, they started to rise again in the stock market

lol at taketwo commenting on the recent things, i dont know what to expect now

with this marketing money chart the internet speculated about a gta6 release in mid/end 2023 - early 2024, now T2 says "this chart is for their thirdparty stuff, not R*", but even if R* announces gta6 soon they normally tend to advertise their release for around 2 years until the game gets released, this would mean we could see a gta6 release by the end of 2022, but i doubt it with the ongoing pandemic stuff and the typical R*-delay, so in the end its 2023-ish again .. so why did T2 even comment on this?

yeah like "sh*t, people now believe gta6 release is 3-4 years away, but wait, thats actually true .. but we cant afford to loose money now so we claim thats all false even if its true hehe"

developers are working from home and could be back in work now since lots of people are heading back to work. I doubt the pandemic is playing a big part, maybe for motion capture stuff definitely
