This is somewhat off-topic I know, and it's not exactly new news. Nevertheless, I thought that some here might be amused to see that some studio or other has gone and made a 'new' game, one that somehow seems remarkably familiar! Albeit made on an apparent budget of one potato and a laptop they found off eBay.

It kinda makes me think though, if R* can't release GTA6 anytime soon to satiate the demand from the fanbase, is there a risk that market forces will intervene to release something that at least meets the fans halfway?

Isn’t it obvious, this confirms that Los Santos is also in the game and police states can cross into other states while your wanted. 
 

What a journey the protagonist must of had to survive all the way from Los Santos to Vice City.

I do wonder will R* fool us release and GTA 6 under a different title, like they did before with GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas. 

 

Actually that always felt odd to me, why did they made actual game titles for those games instead of just a number like they do now? Is it because the games are set in past? Why is then RDR 2 is if it's set before RDR1?

Up until it gets to superbowl or Final Fantasy type numbers. When it gets to GTA XVIII or GTA XIII those look ugly to me and yes I know we don't get GTA that often so it'll be awhile before it gets to that point but if I live to see that in the next 50 years or so I might stop playing out of principle. 

 

VI is nice but the game after it will be called VII and VII looks ugly, and so does the game after it VIII. Gross. You could make a case for IX and X but I don't like em.

I will you don't know me man. By the time it comes out in 20 years or so. I'll be in my 40s and probably into different sh*t or another GTA like series comes out (or Watch Dogs and Saints Row get their sh*t together) and I like that better and jump ship. Especially if R* continues with the direction V had.

I think after GTA VI they will think of names or something, cause GTA VII is when it starts to get ugly. Maybe they might just make a new name than Grand Theft Auto, maybe swap out the Auto for something else and just start a new series? 

I just f*cking hate names for example such as Grand Theft Auto Americas.. Will be interesting to see what Rockstar does

Don't worry, I was just taunting you. But for real. No one would stop playing because the roman numbers on the games box look sh*tty.

 

Besides that I think we, and all generations to follow, will be plaing until they are old. Of course priorities shift over the years but gaming is taking/has taken the lead off of TV. And in a few decades (or probably earlier) there will be games that are programmed that meet the needs and lack of reaction time of old people. They will become a major target group.

Believe it or not, Vice City and San Andreas are spin-off games. In the GTA series only the main titles get a number, and the spin-offs get a name (London, Vice City, San Andreas, Advance, Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, Episodes from Liberty City, Chinatown Wars.

yea, vice city and san andreas weren't much different to gta 3 same graphics just different stories and in gta sa they upgraded their physics abit.

Yes, I am aware those are considered a spin-offs. But I do gotta admit I really wonder how come they decided to do multiple spin-off games before going back to GTA IV back in the day.
