Uh, what? Unless some amazing new tech has come to light, nothing has changed one bit with development times.

 

In fact we may see development times increase if these consoles are capable of running games at 4k as standard as that would mean 4k assets are required for all games. Asset creation has become one of the major strains when it comes to development times, I remember Phil Spencer of Xbox sighing at the thought of the next big thing in gaming in the future being 8k gaming because of how ridiculous asset creation would get if that's the path they go down.

Nah not really I feel like Will Cain looks more like a Steve Haines type GTA character and Stephen A definitely does everything he says sounds like what you'd hear in those GTA talkshows on the radio lol.

I really really hope Mafia 4 gets revealed tomorrow. It looks like we're not getting anything GTA related anytime soon. Mafia 4 comes close and would fill my GTAish open world game fix. I'll be disappointed if it's a Mafia II remaster.

Its Mafia 2, there was a rating leak somewhere on the inter webs, but who knows if its the addition of a new mafia game. I also heard around that hangar 13 also did work in some RDR2, or some 2k devs work on R* titles.

The online mode is what will cause the real mess, as it requires a fair amount of effort, time, and attention from the developers, enough to affect future single-player updates. Anyway, I'm interested to see what happens once we are close to release, I feel like there's a high chance this plan will be ditched by the time we get there.

Man, enough with this Online sh*t, give me my single player back. That's the GTA I grew up on... I miss single player updates. Still feel gypped from the single player R* promised us for V...

story dlc will never happen again its all onine now. 

having said that i dont buy the garbage people saying the game will not have complete story and be released in parts . 

rockstar has and never will split story into parts and make people pay extra to finish the game it would delay online if the map is not complete . 

and piss of the fanbase . 

it will be a complete story from launch not as long as rdr 2 probably around gta 4 length . 

when jason s says modern sized release people taking that out of context. 

he means a modern sized game for the next gen . 

the game will be the size of rdr 2 in map size and detail i have no doubt they are not going to backwards are game size and scale on a current gen game to a new gen game. 

yes we have the crunch thing but i would safely say it is easier to develop for next gen rdr 2 pushed the limits of this gen gta 6 same sized will not on next gen.

I hope GTA6 will be Online Mode only. Could be the perfect free-to-play game. 160ppl online per lobby. The ultimate Sandbox came. Just make it good and people will play it forever.

I don't think rockstar will ditch their single player. I'm however worried about quality of the story. Hope the story will be as good as gta 4.

I actually found the collectibles stupid. For a linear game like Mafia it doesn't make sense. The playboy magazines sort of do because they can be found during missions at places where missions take place but the wanted posters are a whole different story.
