My personal guess would be this year, but with the current situation, I wouldn't blame them to push everything back, so who knows.

at the best i see an announcement this year with a spring 2022 release it aint coming out next year despite the pandemic i never thought that. 

with the normal delay extra time to polish line we have seen with every rockstar game since gta 4 . 

with a late 2022 release. 

prediction - early to mid next year announcement especially if the game is in earlier development then we thought 2023 summer release . 

at the worst early 2024 release -though this was be the worst case scenario and taking the piss and rockstar can only milk gta online for another year max and rdr online two and bit year max so aint going to go a extra year with no content . 

so i will stick to summer 2023 release .

Well probably they will schedule for 2021 but delay a year like they always do but maybe that’s why it’s took 7 years instead of the 5 between gta 4 to 5 ? Just speculation.

2021 is defo not happening . 

rockstar will take there time with gta 6 and thats okay they are they will not half ass it it will come out when its ready if its 2023 then so be it. 

if it means the perfect gta like rdr 2 was the perfect follow up to rdr then it will worth it . 

this leak i know is likely fake but it would be the perfect gta drug smuggling 1980s new cites for the first time in the gta franchise  in 2  decades .

I don’t want them rush it but it’s been 7 years already in 3 years time that’s 10 years between gta titles, even take two ceo said 8 years between gta titles is too long and I agree with him , I can’t see gta online last another 2-3 years especially if rockstar don’t port gta 5 again to next gen consoles

I don’t think their next release will be a GTA. I see them releasing a more compact game that doesn’t take centuries to make like GTA does.  While perfecting the next GTA. Gimme a new IP or something. I know R* has more than just GTA and RDR in those little finger tips of theirs

Yeah for sure Man like a bully 2 or just a new ip can’t wait years and years between titles. Maybe a new ip in the meantime while we wait for major titles like red dead redemption or gta

In that Tweet you're quoting I'm literally saying I think he's right about GTA 6 being the next game, which is also what he said in his article, yet you're saying that he apparently told you GTA 6 is not next? Having trouble putting 2 and 2 together bud?

It's not needed. Both consoles support backwards compatibility.

 

The only question is will they release a patch to enhance the game for the new consoles, but given that they've yet to release patches for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X I'd say it's unlikely.

Yeah but didn’t Xbox one x and PS4 pro released in 2016 ? Maybe rockstar didn’t want enchance it for them consoles and wait for next gen cuz it’s a bigger leap ? Is gta 5 30fps for Xbox one x ?

if we did not have rdr 2 the game would have come out by now and thats not a slant on rdr 2 it is a masterpiece but thats fact.

Wait years for next-gen cause it's a bigger leap? Nah, they were just lazy lmao.

 

And yea, GTA Vruns at 30fps... GTAO, not so much. GTAO runs like absolute turd on console these days. The benefit of the new consoles may be that GTAO actually runs at a stable 30, although hopefully they patch it to run at 60, but again, doubt it.

For sure man, from a business point of view it would make sense and I don’t mind that to be honest. But wasn’t gta 5 delayed while they were working on rdr2 it was early on...

this is  rockstar they perfect games and story but they have got greedy in recent years so dont be shocked if they remaster rdr 2 . 

gta v premium edition so it would not be a shock

Apparently it’s too hard to port a game designed for ps3/Xbox 360 to series x and ps5 which I could understand. But I would play gtao if it runs 60fps constantly with no drops in FPS , I can’t play a 20fps game anymore it’s not enjoyable anymore hope they patch it but like you said it’s unlikely

I can’t see them remastering rdr2 because the online just isn’t it imo but it’s different for other people I guess. It would make sense for them to port gta 5 which is their money maker?

no dont think gta v was delayed at all from rdr 2 rdr  2 most likely only started full production after that came out .

Yeah probably... it depends how big rockstar wants gta 6 to be but apparently developing a game on next gen is 30 percent faster than current gen but that depends on how big the game is

 Even if you play on a much more powerful computer the sh*tty online is still drop frame like hell,it has nothing to do with consoles just their network stuff sucks,as long as there is a session full of players messing around(and what worse,cheaters) game is literally unplayable,the cpu won't handle stuff so does the graphics card in this case.

i would agree with that i think they will a game to rival rdr 2 but with next gen it wont take as long . 

but that game took eight years gta 6 probably didnt start full production until late 2016/2017 so would still stay 2023 counting about probably extra six months with current situation . 

the last two gtas 4 was a masterpiece five was great i take points away for the story. 

lets hope 6 makes it for three for three  .

three great maps liberty 4 san andreas five six vice city and south americas cities . do that happy if they end the series .
