Sooo guys, yan2295 is a rockstar Insider which announced a lot of things in the past. His leaking activity got turned of from Rockstar games, that means Tez2 is now the only insider to believe. A few days ago yan2285 said that GTA 6 can't be in early stages, Jason Schreier said that the finished game is still years away. Which Person is now right with his opinion ?

Those statements cut both ways. If the game comes out in 2023 and now it's 50-60% finished then both Yan and Jason are correct. It's just a matter of perspective I presume.

What Jason means by early can be viewed in many different lights. 2023 is very likely and it's still 3 years away, even if it's 2022 it's still 2 years so it's still early isn't it and the game is probably 50% done now so that isn't too early, right? This pandemic will affect mocap progress severely and the actual game development also would've slowed down so when the game's gonna come out is very difficult to predict.

Yeh I'm with you but 10 years after the release of GTA 5 is just an enorm number for this game. Between GTA 4 and 5 there were 5 years. I think the trailer comes at the end of the year and the game in April 2022.

What's good to keep in mind is that RDR2 was announced October 18th, 2016. With an initial release date for the second half of 2017. So it's a fair possibility that the announcement of GTA VI could be a year before it's intended release date.

The matter of if it will actually release on that date is very unlikely but something to keep in mind. Personally I believe Schreier as he's doubled down on his early development claim and it wasn't just him misunderstanding of what the R* employees were telling him.

10 years is nothing compared to what Elder Scrolls fans are facing lol. And GTAO can easily pull 2-3 years more if they patch it for next gen and put out more updates and even if they don't GTAO can still pull it off.

GTA 5 came out in 2013

RDR2 came out in 2018

It'll be quite interesting if 2023 does turn out to be the release date. CD Projekt RED are developing Cyberpunk Online as a "AAA release" in parallel with Cyberpunk 2077, from a competition perspective they're probably the closest, in the sense of taking away the GTA Online playerbase. I'd imagine GTA VI Online would blow it out of the water but it's likely, in my opinion, that Cyberpunk Online will release first. With a ball park of "past 2021" as the release date, if we're entertaining the 2023 scenario.

About the "surprise game reveal", Its still possible that GTA 6 might be announced even if he said it's a fun announcement, because GTA was fun and enjoyable to play, driving sexy cars in the city, walking down the streets, customizing your character, killing with various cool weapons, It was always fun. 

 

But I doubt it will be a GTA 6 announcement, he could means something like Crash Bandicoot or a racing game or Mario.

If  releases gta 6 in 2022 it will be almost a ten year difference between games. Thats a ridiculous wait time for a game that's been in development for so long.

Man don't turn on the people that actually offer us info without gaining anything at all. They dont even have YouTube channels to profit for this. They stick their necks out to hype us since Rockstar wont do it. 

 

What's the point of these insiders lying ? They gave us a lot of info in the past and even recently with the new Gta online Dlc. So when they say that the game is not in early development they have to know something we dont. 

 

Jason is reliable but i think he has a different idea of "early development" .

If they're going to release a new Mafia that means no new R* game for a while then. They only seem to bring that game out when R* has been quiet. But after Mafia III released we did get RDR2 announced shortly after like two weeks later.

 

I just hope Hangar 13 learned something from the mistakes they made in Mafia III.

He also said Bully 2 was in development, yet it got cancelled/shelved. Things change. What he knows or knew may be old, outdated or even misinformation. As popular as people are, never pin all your hopes on someone because you want them to be right about something.
