Bashing YouTubers and making the topic about it (or any other kind of antagonism) will net you a warning for derailing the topic.

Please use some common sense too while discussing subjects, don't delve too deep into speculating about people's personal lives (e.g. Houser departure from R*, Rockstar developers, etc.) as they deserve privacy and not a raging fan forum to make up things about them. Needless to say, any hate will be quickly nipped in the bud.

And how many PC games have you seen that were design with SSD as a  requirement? Probably just 1: Star Citizen, and it's not even a finished product. You're missing the point because it's not just about the loading speed. SSD will change the way games are designed and that includes open world games. Some things that come to my mind are larger and more open maps, faster ways of traversal, bigger variety of assets. For example once you get inside a car you suddenly start seeing the same model everywhere. With SSD that will no longer be the case

Oh you better not be giving me false hope! This has severely annoyed me in every GTA, it's one of the first things I always check in a new GTA. (Also the thing where streets are full of cars when you're driving, but when you're on foot, it's ghost town) It's especially awkward with classic cars, first you randomly find a "57 Tornado" and soon the whole traffic consists of nothing but Tornados... It's like some sort of huge classic Tornado meet suddenly takes place 🤦‍♂️

Honestly i think that SSDs should become mandatory for certain (mainly open world) games if they're truly capable of bringing those games to the next level. So many manufacturers have popped up in the last few years that SSDs became dirt cheap. I just wonder how PC ports of console games (which will be made with SSDs in mind) will look, i'm worried that people that are not not willing to spend money (23USD for a good 120GB SSD... Come on now) on SSDs will slow the industry down.

I don't know if this is the right place for this, but since we're talking about specs.

I've been seeing a sudden influx of these videos. Do people REALLY still think that GTA V can run Android phones?

We're still waiting on VIce City Stories on android let alone GTAV 😅. What if they were saving VCS mobile to tie in with VI? I could just picture it. Buy now to get Vic Vance as a parent character on GTAO2 lol.

Also here's my new GTAVI logo. I made this one way more simple and clean compared to the other 2 logos. What do you think?

I would get rid of endings A&B and replace them with one where Michael with the help of Dave goes to hideout in a house in the woods he acts as bait to lure Trevor there. Trevor finds out makes his way to the house in the woods it's guarded by Steve Haines and Norton. Trevor kills both of them and then goes after Michael. Michael sees Trevor they get into a shootout inside the house then Michael escapes into the woods with Trevor coming after him. You can then choose to control either Trevor or Michael and one of them will kill the other.

Much like this

Now you brought up Malvo, we need someone like Malvo in GTA6. Billy Bob Thonrton absolutely nailed the role. Brilliant stuff.

Which town (or area) and era would you like to see the most if it isn't set in Vice City? For me it is San Fierro in the 60s/70s.

Chicago in the 80s or 90s

I can't express the level of tranquility I felt watching this for the first time back in 2013. After years of coming on here everyday; all the speculation, sh*tposts, and rumors had let up to that very moment. It was bittersweet and almost like a goodbye. I can't think of a more fitting song lyrically. Half the posters from those days bailed not too long after and all I could do is watch helplessly as Rockstar's obsession with Online grew worse everyday. And now, 7 years have somehow passed since then. Kids who hadn't been born yet are already playing GTA V and we have grifters on youtube who use it as a tool to lure them in through clickbait for financial gain. There's something incredibly depressing about watching such a lovingly crafted work of art become relentlessly milked in the name of monetization.

I look at that trailer now and am reminded of how bright the future looked and what could've been. It's just sad man.

LOOOOL calm down it’s not that deep 😂😂😂

The whole story of gta 5 deals with the government but it isnt compelling, like most antagonists in gta 5 the government is just annoying

Its kinda sad how GTA 5 Story is pretty boring (imo)

I would really wish GTA 6 is focusing on a more "Realistic" story than any Action scene in any Action movie.

VercettiGuy

The thing with characters in V for me was that they are ALL annoying. Doesn't matter if antagonist or not.

Apart from Michael the only one I like is Amanda. Annoying in the beginning but actually quite likeable in the end. The rest are either bland/boring or just atrocious. Then when online arrived it got even worse. Agatha is likeable. The rest you can throw in the bin.

Think of somebody like Lester. I think we're supposed to like him but for me he is the worst character in this entire franchise. There's antagonists I would have spared if it would let me kill Lester.

Star Citizen Video

Yes, we can see that Star Citizen works with HDD, and is way faster/less stuttering with SSD. Not a revolution but an evolution.

Yea, there's no game to date that's been built around SSD speeds. It will change how worlds are made in the future, 100%. Being able to stream entire levels and parts of the world in and out super quick is going to be a game changer.

...

To put it another way regarding SSD's, the SSD in the Xbox Series X is potentially THIRTY SEVEN times faster than the stock HDD in the Xbox One. Instead of streaming worlds/levels in and out at ~100mb/s devs will now be able to stream them in and out at ~3.75gb/s. It's going to open up possibilities that have never been possible for... just not straight away cause of what I said above. Sony 1st party studios will probably do some wild sh*t with them in the years to come due to PS5 exclusivity.

If you take GTA V, Just Cause big games and cie, this is already the case with pc SSDs (super quick loading, entire world). The "only" things that can be improved, as I said, is loading time so they can charge a lot more things in the same time. You can "program" the same way you programed with a HDD before. SSD is not really "multicore", it's one file by one file. What you do is "Well I can charge 50x files more at the same time than an HDD, so I will put more files in the queue", but the program will function in an HDD too, but way longer and bottlenecked by it.

Larger and more open maps : There is already large maps without loading "in game". The graphics are processed by GPU+VRAM, then it can calls RAM if there isn't enough VRAM.

Faster ways of traversals : Why not, I'm sure this could work already in GTA V, Just cause ... if there was others big cities in game. Just use a trainer and teleport you at North Yankton this is already instant with a SSD.

Variety of assets : RAM+CPU not SSD, although SSD can charge the models faster of course.

I see your point, all of you, but don't expect a revolution of gaming. CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, everything is evolving, SSD is not magic, it's superfast but not superman, you need to process all those files !

It's like a sneak peak into next gen. 2-3 years down the line SSD will be standard as Consoles always dictate game design, then we will see proper next gen games and what SSDs can really do.

I'm playing FF7Remake now, and the number of times Cloud has to pass through claustrophobic spaces to mask the next area loading from HDD is infuriating.

Yes, only corridor games like this are gonna love SSD and change a lot (if producers wants to change), open world games not so much.

You kidding mate? Way less pop in, higher LOD, more seamless interiors with insane details and many many improvements would come over time. Just don't expect it to happen in the first year of console generation.

Okay, dudes.

Here's what I know about Grand Theft Auto VI, but don't tell anyone, so I don't get into troubles, okay?

Grand Theft Auto VI is not going to be released on PlayStation 2, due to the hardware limitations.

You know what? I thought just came into my mind. Maybe the fact, that online is such a success might actually give us more toned storyline, GTA IV alike. I mean, back in GTA V times singleplayer was the main part of the game no doubt. Right now, I'm not so sure. BUT that also means, that now storyline might not be the main game selling point, but the online will be. In conclusion, R* does not have to make storyline appeal to as large player count as possible. They might just do storyline as diehard fans want it, and still sell the game with online being the mainstream selling point. What do you thing guys?

Storyline will be the selling point initially, it brings in players and then it's all Online, which retains them. Keep in mind that even without Online GTAV brought in 1 billion in just 3 days and RDR2, 750 million within the same time frame.
