The good deeds thread

I did a brief haulage run earlier - and got a nice friendly escort from a Mk2 player who just tailed me to make sure nobody bothered me.  He hung about after I'd dropped the trailer and was heading back into the city, but headed off to do other stuff as I passed the casino.

It's always great to see other friendly Mk2 players - although I suspect he may have just hung around for the free cash for being in proximity to the VIP work, lol.

Despite my earlier post in this thread, I can be altruistic and benevolent. Some things I will do (if I feel like it)

Let low levels win me at races, particularly if it is a one-on-one race and it is against a double-digit player. I pretend to over-egg it and deliberately crash so they go past me thinking they have won legit.

I always wait for players if I accidentally crash into them during a race, give them their race position back.

I will take down any jets griefing the lobby using the ex-sniper from the nearest handy rooftop.

Same with nuisance OP2 riders, I will go duel with them on mine. It's just a shame about the bad sport points, or I would probably do this almost exclusively.

If I see a one person vs a crew at anything like King of the Castle, I'll hold off the crew so that the lone wolf can get the win. For example, at the one on top of the lifeguard tower or at the dam, I'll be that sniper up on the hillside who takes down the players trying to get into the scoring zone.

I always give bounty money to the person who the bounty was on.

I often give Freemode job prize money to my opponent. (Why can't you give it for Headhunter?) This is especially so if they play to the end and don't quit. I had one kid recently with a low rank try really hard to beat the Torched job, where I was defending the crates. He played right to the end and didn't give up. I spent the next hour or so passing all my earned money to him.

I'll dive in and have a go at any tryhard crews who are in the lobby just to bully the noobs. It's legit play sure, but there is no honour for a crew of four or five ghosty-face rebreathers ranked 300+ each to be spawn-killing low levels.

Same! :D

And what i really like to do is let low levels drive/fly expensive vehicles I own. I park it next to them and set acces to everyone.

Sometimes they message asking if i have this or that. If I have it I get it out of the garage/hangar and let them take it.

Then I just take the passenger seat or take a NPC car to transport myself.

Heh last time I did that the player with the bounty repaid me by killing my character, not even a thank you, so now I don't do it anymore. If it's friends bounties tho we always still split and share.

Then again I may look the other way if the player is an extremely low level and doesn't look to be hostile.

I only sell on solo lobbies, so poor broomstick players wont have to waste its scarce homming missiles bringing down my ugly slow Titan. God bless them.

But seriously, I don't reclaim bounties and I always put bounties on griefers. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

This. Last week a MC club of four in a Avenger was bullying a single low level who was doing supply runs to his Bunker in Paleto Bay.

I grabbed the Lazer, shot them down while they were pursuing the poor guy and made them crash on the beach north of Fort Zancudo. That's a terrible place to be because of the spawn points, and they sure paid for it. It was fun taking them out with the cannon again and again.

Made the griefers vote to kick me from the lobby...

Sometimes I like to pick up people in my fabulous Karin Asterope and take them to various places around the city like getting their haircuts or picking out a mask in Vespucci. I chose the Asterope because it's 4 doors and allows me to pick up 3 people verse just 1. On rare occasions I'll beat up NPC citizens with my cherished golf club and allow people to pick up their dropped cash because that's the type of person I am.

Saw a crate delivery yesterday that got stuck on the stairs near the Vespucchi Chanals Liquor Hole. Apparently pursuing cops had rammed the mule so that the driver lost control rolled down the stairs getting the truck stuck in the process.

Well I helped him clear the cops, knocked over a lighpost that blocked the front, headed down into the canals and gave him a push back up.

Yesterday an 80-something lv player texted me to help him steal supplies for his bunker. I was in the middle of a 3 crate mission so I couldn't even text him back.

After unpacking my crates on the warehouse the infamous 'a CEO is sourcing bunker supplies, go kill him pronto' message popped onscreeen. I hop on my Buzzard and found him on a shootout vs. NPCs near the vineyards on Blaine. He got killed, I landed and swept the mobsters while he respawn; no Buzzard missiles to keep the supplies intact.
We look at each other a couple seconds, bare handed. Then he got on the supplies van as I escort him to his bunker. 'Thank you', he texted.

I join to his Org. and we did that 'bring down the 3 choppers to get your stuff' mission. He tried to use that crappy floating truck but I spawned another Buzzard and we did it the easier (and funnier) way. Back in the bunker I was texting him some advice, but he then messaged 'I'll be around tonight if you want help' and disappeared.

I wish I'd had time to tell him: 'Always use a Buzzard, buy your supplies, and please move your bunker from Paleto to Chumash!'

Good deeds is a big part of my play nowadays.  Back on 360 I was cut throat 🤑 Only cared about me and my crew but now I'm rich and have nothing else I want to accomplish so I help people out when I see the opportunity particularly low levels from giving out money to helping people against trolls.  I love to go ghost and sneak up on MKii trolls or explosive snipe jets out the sky 😈

I don't interact with other players but I did help an NPC out earlier by picking up some baby powder for their chafing.

I helped someone delivered some cars yesterday. Didn't join their CEO or anything, just flew over them. I think he knew I was protecting him.

Lately I tend to only do one of two things. Either I'm in a private lobby setting up a casino heist, or I'm in a public lobby running Fully Loaded and hunting every douche on a broomstick or in a jet that I come across. Hopefully the other people in the session are grateful for the diversion. It's funny how often the idiots will get butthurt and obsessively try to kill me for the duration of the mission. One finally succeeded today by flying behind me on the Mk II and using his regular SMG to shoot through my rear window--I was almost proud of him for figuring something out.

I didn't kill anyone today and I helped some dude deliver his shipment, and then he shot me. I never retaliated.

I deserve a Nobel Peace Prize.

The good book always taught my ass to turn the other cheek when sh*t happens.

Well unless the guy happens to be a massive asshole.

Was doing the criminal damage event and blew someone up in the process.

He messaged saying "why kill me, i wasnt doing anything"

I gave him the cash but dont think he accepted it.

A good deed refused is still a good deed.

I always hunt griefers and tryhards, saving the players currently being their target. They always chase me after killing them a few times so I lead them away from other players minding their bussiness. Even better. since I'm the proud owner of a Chernobog, the moment they stop hunting me and goes after others, I spawn it and give them a few long range missiles through 2 cityblocks.

I don't perform many direct good deeds anymore, 9/10 times they end with them shooting at me. A few low levels have thanked me for saving them from griefers, but far from all. I guess, all things considered, it might be hard to differ me from other griefers and tryhards in the heat of battle.

I shot some guy out of his export car and wanted to steal it for myself but I felt bad about it, especially as I noticed he fought off someone else trying to steal it before me

I drove back to him round the corner and left it for him. Sent a msg to apologise

I do that you know. I steal an Import / Export car, but then I look at the map and can see the player's blip stood forlornly by the roadside. I get hit with this massive pang of guilt and end up taking it back to them.

lool the last sentence very true.....I used to dress up as superman (more smallville) and fly around my oppressor killing griefers...the best time was when this one guys was dressed as the joker flying around killing everyone, some will leave after you kill em once, some will go into a fight with you....

and every now and again the person you are helping will open fire on you lool

I took some random on like 5 Bogdans last night.

It looked like they had created a new character, because it was a level 120. But they only owned a Banshee, so I figured they probably actually needed the money.

Seen an oppressor mkll trying to blow up someone's double money bunker sale. I was practicing my flying backwards in a Lazer so I sent a friendly message and went to help. The guy could hold his own pretty well but eventually the oppressor was going to win. He did manage to shoot him off his oppressor so I spawn killed him until he left.
