yea your right it might be a russian version. but there is no real reload. something that irked me about gta 4s guns was that the magazines were never actually taken out and add a new one. instead you just do one swipe and you instantly have new ammo.

Does that really matter though when the shooting mechanics are so good and it feels satisfying to riddle enemies with bullets? During an intense gun fight I'm not going to stare at the reloading animation.

well it does to me. sure the shooting is fine in the game. but you would think since rockstar loves to add extra details in stuff. they would add an actual reload animation. at least gta 5 does it right there.

I'm not saying it isn't a nice detail. It's just something I've never really taken notice of since 3D era GTA games never had proper reload animations either for me to care about. I'm more of a function over form type of person anyway.

i like the reload animations for IV. sure they don't have magazines, but watching niko slap the mp5 or pull the bolt on an assault rifle is satisfying

Actually reloading is one of my favorite details in 3rd person shootings. In GTA IV it reminds me too much of the 3D mechanics.

It's a toss between the Uzi, Desert Eagle/Pistol .50 and the switchblade.

Evil empire

Except for its sh*tty rubbish sound the minigun rocks in San Andreas, it explodes any vehicle in 2 times 3 movements, you can behead anyone even 100 meters away, even a flash shot in the legs kills anyone 200 meters away, the san Andreas minigin is THE killing machine.

Since the question isn't in plurals, i'll say the pump action shotgun is my top pick since it's cheap in Ammu-nation (for the majority in GTA games) and I like it firing sound.

Extreme Hunt

The mini-gun, chainsaw and katana. The later 2 being the most memorable in previous GTA's due to blood splats and beheading people.

For mayhem the minigun in GTA 5 with exploding bullets, moon gravity, and slow mo activated is awesome.

The Python in Vice City and Desert Eagle in S.A. are great for when i want, and need, one shot kills in missions.

The shotguns in 5 are the best in the series with the auto shotgun my favorite.

The MP5 in Vice City is the only submachine gun i will use seriously in place of an assault rifle.
My favorite assualt rifle is the AK in GTA3. In GTA 5 the carbine is great but the combat mg is better.
