Why map mods cause some solid ground to disappear?

Recommended Posts

Eizlan56

I've installed a map or a building mod for my game, it worked, but then, when i go to some places, i immediately fall into underworld or blue hell, so the place is missing, its not texture missing, the solid ground is missing, i need to know how is this happen? Is because the game have limit solid ground to create?

I really cant enjoy if i go free roam with this error missing solid ground

I had already moved it, you don't need to make another topic. We'll keep this one and I'll remove your other topic.

Issues with soft, low-detail areas of the map will occur when switching between saves that use different IPL configurations. I wouldn't expect this error when the game just started or on a new save, and you can resolve this issue by loading the same save twice.

There's a reasonably good chance this issue is not related to your problem but it should be eliminated as a possible cause.

Sorry for late reply

It seems the map i installed before working again and there is no missing solid ground in that area the second time i installed without reload again the save file like you just mention, but im not sure if the game loads all solid ground, im still gonna check all the map to make sure

Im gonna test another map, see if the error still occur or not, and if its occur, i'll reinstall it again, see if it fix like my previous map that installed

Usually if i have issues with map i use this site and modloader to find what objects may be changed and disable files with game running in background by puting "." before name or moving it somewhere outside of modloader (ex. "carlshou1_LAe2.dff" to ".carlshou1_LAe2.dff")

Game should reload that model and you should see change in game.

This works for .dff, .txd, .ipf, .col, .ide files.

If you use FLA then you may have window pop up when bringing game back about collision models, just press ok and continue to test stuff.

Well, i installed maps without modloader by editing files (mostly gta.dat) in the data folder and use Alci IMG Editor to import .dff .txd and any files that need to import for the map

Of course, some problems will occur like i faced before, the solid ground problem due to having different data maps configurations between the save file and the game data, so reinstall it might reload the save data maps configurations and fix this problem

Well, maybe, because i didnt test a second try on another map
