PS3 acting weird

This happened about 2 weeks ago. I was playing GTA IV, and when I went to pause, it was just a black screen. I turned off the PS3, turned it back on, started GTA IV and all I got was a black screen.

 

Tried again, got an error. I watered the disc, dried it off, putted it back in, started it again and it got to the copyright screen, then the intro, but after the GTA IV logo, black screen again. The third time, it goes to the loading screen and stays there.

 

I then putted in GTA SA, and after a few minutes of playing, it froze. After turning off and turning the PS3 back on, I started it again and it froze at the Rockstar logo, with a bunch of pixels appearing.

 

Turned off, turned the PS3 back on, started it again, and another black screen. Tried it again, pressed "Resume" and it froze at the loading screen. The third time, it froze when changing weapons. I was like "Uh oh, something's wrong here".

 

The next day, I putted in GTA IV, started it, and it worked fine. Tried GTA SA, and it was also working fine.

 

What is going on with my PS3?

 

UPDATE: I now have a PS3 Fat (CECHExx). The only problem I have with that is when I turn it on, it gives me the YLOD. Only banging on the hard drive door hard enough gets it to work.
