Somewhere I saw GTA Las Americas. With North and South giving the plural.

BTW judging by Rockstar's pace of work it's safe to say we won't see GTA 7 until 2030 at least. Holy sh*t I'll be a middle aged man then. 

 

And GTA 6 won't come sooner than late 2021

If they were to put 2 countries in the game (USA and Mexico or some South American country), they would probably have to implement some kind of border control mechanism

 

The border would have to be closed initially or you would get heat stars when you cross it illegally. At least until later in the game.

If there’s USA and Mexico, borders should be a deep theme. That would be something.

What I hated the most is that all of the cities they could have picked for V they chose f-ing Los Santos, as if GTA SA, which wasn't even 10 years old when V came out, didn't focus mostly on Los Santos already.

True, I really think it will just be GTA VI and not GTA VIce, I know that Rockstar Games can make way better titles then this...

It wouldn’t be my first choice either, but I can understand why R* decided to revisit LS. They had changed universes, and of all previous settings from 3D universe LS had the most promising scenario for a new version. I won’t argue with that.

 

It makes me ask: if Vice City was passed over before, what changed for them to do it now?

Sure, people loved the whole San Andreas but they loved all three cities combined together 

 

So it was a major disappointment when it turned out that only Los Santos is in the game. People were hoping until the very end that maybe, just maybe Las Venturas and San Fierro are in the game too but R* keeps it as surprise. 

 

People were expecting something like San Andreas 2 but instead they got only one city and huge, mostly empty countryside and not many side activities to do compared to SA. 

 

I'm surprised that there wasn't even any CJ cameo in the game. Of course he would be in his 40s but it would be nice to see him.

Why do people keep saying the bolded? lol. They clearly chose Los Santos because LA is the second biggest and most popular city in America after NYC. Its just plain common sense. 

 

GTA 6 location is literally a free for all.

You really think that the only reason that they made V in the 2nd biggest city in the US is as fan service for CJ?

I disagree with you. After the first trailer, 2 years before release, it was pretty clear that it is only Los Santos, so nobody was disapointed. GTA 5 barely runs on PS3 and Xbox 360, it is a miracle what Rockstar done to optimise the game. And CJ could not be in the game since he does not exist in HD universe.

People forget it was a gen 7 game lol made for gen 7. And by the time GTA 5 came out gen 7 consoles were extremely dated. No WAY were they pulling off multiple cities unless they sacrifice a lot of things. Me? I would've preferred a bigger/more detailed LS than that wasteland to the north.

 

Meanwhile GTA 6 may in fact skip gen 8.
