Fair point, personally the nostalgia is why id love it there but also i think it would open up for the like of south america and cuba etc... but something different id happily welcome be nice to expand the universe.

That's your opinion, mine is to have a redesigned VC because why have a HD Liberty City and Los Santos but not Vice City?

 

And no, Vice City doesn't have to be in the 80s, it can be in the modern time and it will still have the cool vibes of it, and yes VC might not be the next GTA city but some people want it to be the next city.

Not tryna bring the arguments from my thread here. But modern VC offers many new things. VC should also get an HD rendition wouldnt be fair if it doesn't. Also I can argue that the topography of Chicago is very similar to NYC. And Detroit isn't demographically diverse as VC/Miami.

Exactly there is a rather large percentage of GTA fans(including myself) who want VC and find VC interesting whether it be modern or the 80s. GTA SA fans got to see Los Santos remade. Why can't we see VC remade?

The problem is using that logic to suggest that's why it will be Vice City. Rockstar can and will do what they want to do. We've yet to see Las Venturas or San Fierro reimagined. So why not one of those? It may or may not be Vice City. I certainly want it to be. Just don't let your desires cloud your judgement.

GTA VI pics "leak" in such detail you can't tell the difference between a human being and a skyscraper.

 

I actually mucked about once with my phone camera trying to see how easy it is to take a clear pic of a monitor while trying to be subtle. It was easier to take a clear, good quality picture than it was to take a photo that was a blurry mess. I also only have years old second hand phones (cause new phones are a rip off), so no latest models and cameras or anything.

 

Also, again, any text leak that's a literal essay is fake. Anything that reads like fanfiction.net material is fake.

This. We're now up to a point where even cheap entry-level mobile phones have higher picture clarity than the most expensive DSLRs on the market in the time of the 3D era. There is precisely ZERO excuse as to why when/if a map picture does leak, it resembles someone taking a photo of Google Earth with their webcam circa 2006. Anyone capable of taking a photo is a Rockstar employee with a paycheck large enough for a modern iPhone or Galaxy.

I wouldn't mind it, but creating a new map just for a DLC would require a lot of effort. Furthermore, I doubt there will be any story DLCs.

I just read your thread actually, and you do have some very good points. I'll argue though that Detroit could be very interesting with its high crime rate, dangerous neighborhoods and collapsing economy (depending on the time period they'd choose, of course).

To me the whole narcos thing is already too mainstream. Honestly can't see Rockstar doing it or put a strong emphasis on it.

My problem with Detroit is that it isn't that interesting imo. If they want to do a Midwest setting I'd like to see Chicago. It could work in any era.

Who where said the game will be Vice City? Or was confirmed to be Vice CIty? All I said was that there is a LARGE fanbase that want Vice City which means not everyone is against Vice City. And I can argue that a modern VC offers more than those two locations in modern times when it comes to the a GTA game.

Nobody has a problem with VC, on the contrary, we all would love to see it. It's just that we can't pinpoint the exact location and dream about it until news are being presented.

Oh there's a lot of people who absolutely believe Vice City is confirmed at this point. But my point was just that it doesn't matter how many people want something. Rockstar will do what they feel is right, regardless. That was all.

Of course, those are just examples that quickly come to mind when I say I'd rather have something new, but there are definitely many other places that would do just as good.

Detroit can be interesting if its included with Chicago. But by itself Detroit has little to offer for a GTA game in my personal in opinion. Yes, high crime rate for a GTA game is ideal. But what else does the D offer? It is not demographically diverse(its around 80% Black and I say this as a BLACK person), its only known for its motor industry, its underworld is not as diverse and its geography(talking rural areas) isn't as interesting. Also the city isn't really iconic outside of America. Like I said Detroit would be perfect if it was packaged with Chicago.

No. Not all of them Probably just a very small percentage of people. I think any place will be interesting.

All Online has done from its inception is bring out the absolute worst in consumerism. Untold millions have been spent to give lazy players unfair advantages, and even those who honestly grind are typically banned under false pretenses. It has also deprived of us of any post-completion story we may have had since it became so goddamn popular. Anyone remember that rich idiot who came on this forum about a year or two back crying that he spent like $3,000 in shark cards for his son only to have the account banned? I still laugh over the memory of that.

That's an even better reason to include and I have faith that R* can make it fun and have an interesting storyline. The war on drugs is probably as big now as it was in the 80s. But now you have more countries involved in it than back in the 80s. And drug productions it at an all time high. Curious why  you can't see R* doing it? There have been many Sicario like movies these past decades.

I might be moving to the Chicago vicinity in the near future so I'd love to see it there, the massive lake and city river would be an awesome landscape, only because I'd prefer a gritty city than sunshine and beaches again. Only problem is that Illinois is flat as a pancake, so we'd have to hope for some surrounding states to be included, or Canada, to get any mountains lol.

I hope and think GTA 6 have a Italian Mob Story. The Godfather 1 was a very great game. Or maybe a Drug Cartel Story with things from the Scarface game, but better. But please not Mexican.... Colombia much better. 

 

All other crime is for me big sh*t. This two scenario are for me the best.

I remember! This time I think its slightly different. We now know they're likely to repeat cities. However, the next one is likely to have numerous cities, so I think VC and somewhere new is likely.
