It is yet another arbitrary wishlist disguised as a leak on Reddit, at this point we are literally getting these daily.

No source, no credibility whatsoever, broken English, conflicting information, arbitrary statements such as "100 employees were laid off", something that would have been noticed, and most probably never happened.

 

Could we please stop posting these types of Leaks here, let alone discuss them? They are false, and it really feels like someone is getting a daily streak for posting these every single day.

To be honest, at this point Rockstar doesn't even need to tweet "6" or "New GTA Game", we are doing all the marketing for them talking about GTA6 and you also have the people who spam GTA6 in all of their tweets.

I won't mind giving them more time if it would mean they come up with an announcement that reveal more info other than "GTA6 is coming".

Yes, companies have turnover.

However laying 100 people in the matter of a single week off, would never go unnoticed.

R* North has about 400 employees, that would be a quarter of their staff.

I think GTA 6 is coming 2021, Rockstar have Bully 2 as well to be scheduled for release in this next gen so if GTA 6 was later it would mean Bully 2 goes beyond next gen as they usually wait a few years between titles.

If they announce it in 2021, it will come out 2023 at the soonest, that's a 10 year gap between GTA games. Then, it will come out in like 2024 or 2025 for PC. With the official site getting regular updates lately, i think that we'll get the announcement this year, without a doubt. And i just really don't want to wait 4/5 years to play a new GTA game.

It's bullsh*t, it will 100% be one of the backwards compatible games. It'll most likely get 60 FPS and/or better graphics in a update, not an entire re-release. Also, the PS5 comes in November and the Final GTAO update is supposedly coming out in December? It simply makes no sense.

Well, I sure want them to announce it already but I'm not so optimistic. Yeah, 10 years is a long time, but what can we do, it is what it is. Even if it gets announced this year and releases in 2022, it's going to be 9 years since V. Does that one year make such a big difference?

Technically it's been 14 years if you consider Vice City Stories but still. Liberty City Stories came out around 2005 and guess what came 3 years later? Another Liberty City game. Three GTAs in Liberty City in a single decade.

Now, it doesn't really seem like such a huge difference but just wait until they announce it, then the wait will be painful. Honestly i wouldn't have such an issue with it if R* threw in one smaller game coming in 2021, Manhunt 3, Bully 2, Agent, whatever. I'll literally take Table Tennis 2 at this point.

I always considered EFLC just to be a story mode DLC. Chinatown Wars however you are right. So yeah, count 'em four GTAs set in Liberty City in one decade (five if you consider EFLC).

the liberty city in IV was completely different though, if we revisit LC it will be mostly the same map we had in IV but repolished and possibly slightly expanded.

 

 

 

this is from an old leak, if some of the "we revisit liberty city for a mission" leaks are true this may be an early version

in my opinion, this would be interesting
And it's time to speculate a little
I've started to replay GTA5 and meet a character named Oscar. He's a gun smuggler in Mexico. And directly says that there is now unrest. I hope that we will see it in GTA 6.
I am also 70% sure that in GTA 6 we will meet one of the characters in GTA 5.I Think it will be Franklin or Trevor, perhaps Michael. ( but I'm not sure)
Or Franklin. Or Trevor.
But considering that Steven OGG is currently starring in many TV series and movies, I'm not sure that he will be in the game.
From a recent one, it was in Better call Saul and the walking dead. It was nice to see him.
So I'm betting on Franklin
