I remember sending a recommendation to Rockstar or something along the lines of that 4-5 years ago regarding just that. You could listen to MP3 radio from your phone. Guess they never listened.

CoD Black Ops took this similar approach, too. In 2010. They had some modern tech in the game, but because you were a secret Block Operative you had access to it. At least I think this was their reasoning.

I hope that GTA VI

 

• offers more houses to enter
• realistic ingame prices. So no 100k for clothes
• that our character changes. Like in RDR2. Perhaps also the girth of the body
• that the map is constantly changing. A dynamic map. Construction sites are completed or other areas are rebuilt.
• Cities that can be reached by airplane/ship/car with passport and visa. If you have a Wanted level, you are not allowed to leave a city.
• Trees, bushes, hedges can be destroyed
• Weather disaster?
• More random events
• simultaneous release on PS, xbox and PC!

People like to hate on Saints Row a lot but in Saints Row 1 and 2 there are still features to this day that are far ahead of R*. Hell you can even do it in Watch Dogs.

 

You’re right. People have requested after every 3D GTA too. And it could be done in any era - mobile radios, walkmans, boom boxes, CD players, MP3 players etc.

That remembers me that in GTA IV you needed to pay tolls to cross beetween islands and if you didn't pay you automatically had a one star or two star level, I don't remember which level was. It was a pretty cool feature.

I'm still thinking that GTA VI will be actually revealed at the ps5 show. The console and tha game will be showed at this same time. I think we are just waiting until Covid-19 will be over.

And it has something to do with trust, of course. You trust the Staff of GTAForums that they do their best to validate the source.

 

That does not make much sense.

A leaker is not defined by wether or not he/she is able or willing to proof his/her credibility. He/she is defined by leaking information, that are not available to the public. It's that simple.

If someone doesn't do it for "fame" but just to satisfy the hunger of the fans, he or she does not really have to proof anything. That doesn't make you a troll, that makes you smart.

 

In the end you just have to show somehow that you are somewhat credible. To be honest, most fake-leakers can't even build proper sentences. And most repeat stuff that A) people wan't to hear or B) have been said a thousand times.

I trust the Mods and their common sense and judgement. But I'd rather have a proper fake-leaker who stirrs up some sh*t to build a descent discussion than all these fools screaming for bans.

I was big on saints row 1 (100% and lots of online, maybe even my first proper xbox live game) and the multiplayer could be compared to GTA ONLINEs early days. 
 

It had a gang system (identical to crews), you'd earn money and rp through competitive multiplayer modes that you could use to customise your character etc, 

 

pretty ahead of its time for 2005. Anyway it always leaves me wishing we get another San Andreas/Saints Row type game, turf/gang simulation with tons of customisation. Not a single thing like it since maybe sr2. Its a real shame the "GTA clone" days are behind us because no one makes open world criminal games anymore. (Mafia, Saints Row etc)

On the bright side, if we are just around 6 months away from announcement, we should expect some substantial leaks every now and then. Building up to their  announcements, there’s always been at least 1 legitimate leak.

Unfortunately,we are 1 and a half year away from announcement. There were leaks back in 2017 states that we wont see VI until 2023-2024 and im now believing they are true.

I believe we are 1.5 years away from release. They'll announce when the new consoles start showing more material. Probably around the time E3 was supposed to happen, maybe a little bit later if corona leads to some delays. Companies are just waiting for Sony/MS to go all out.

Im afraid next gen consoles will be delayed. There will be serious economic problems in all countries after Covid19 ends.

This is probably correct. But They might start teasing and announcing anyway when the dust starts settling. If they can't sell consoles during holiday-season, they will at least want to get the proorders going.

OR Sony is going to redesign the PS5 to counter the XBox better and release next year. They could still sell it as "delay because of corona" and would not have to admit, they screwed up (but only a little... in my opinion it's not too bad... the will release a PS5 Pro later anyway)

Man at first i was digging coronavirus But now this sh*t has gotten out of hands , Last of us 2 delayed , Ghost of tsushima most likely delayed , Gta 6 still isn't announced and also every movie is delayed. 2020 so far has mostly been utter sh*t

That´s the point. A person who claims to have special information about a game or whatever, has to proof his credibility, otherwise all the people who believe every sh*t, are the fools.

 

It has to be a person who did proof his credibility in the past for example. Or who proofs his credibility by documents or other stuff. 

 

Person "A" claims to be a Rockstar employee. But he has to proof it somehow. He can show you his ID and other things. If he show you his ID Card, you can´t say anymore that it´s fake or not his ID, you have to proof it.

 

If this person leaks some detailed information and you can´t refute it, it´s probably because he is legit. That´s what i´m sayin.

 

You are NOT a fool, just because you demand to ban people, who claim to have special information about a game, without any credibility or proof.

 

You are a fool if you just believe it and without any proof.

I think rockstar is gonna announce the game when nobody is expecting it . The thread is starting to slow down and the news , Fake leaks are also starting to slow down . Hopefully they announce something in the April or May
