Exkabewbikadid
Well, I was getting ready to pre-order VC:PC the other day and naturally started thinking about the game itself. At first I didn't like VC as much as GTA 3, but I must admit, thinking back on the whole 80's theme and how I grew up in that age of excess, the game has grown on me, throwing all technical aspects aside, i.e. the layout of VC, strong similarities with GTA 3 etc. Personally, I think Rockstar really had something going with this game. The sharp contrast of bright neon colors, loud fashion, and debonair lifestyles with the seedy drug business and ruthless gangs really makes for some excellent gameplay. But for me, what really made this game was the massive soundtrack, the largest soundtrack ever used in a game or movie for that matter. So I got to thinking, wouldn't it be cool if a sequel to Vice City were made several years from now when new technology is out? I definately think so. Rockstar could completely redo the layout of Vice City so it would practically be a new city. For the stroyline, I think a sequel or even a prequel would be good. Or, an entirely new story that isn't in relation to the Vercetti story. With new technologies to come out, an even more massive soundtrack would be possible (I was kinda disappointed when I didn't hear any songs by The Police in VC). I don't know, I just think the time period and setting of VC had a lot of potential that wasn't complelely saturated by Vice City... or maybe I'm just too hung up on the 80's. So what do you think? Hotring887
i agree. It would eb a fantastic game with features that would blow people away. IF they made a prequell it would be even better to see what would happen before all of vice city. I would lovew to see an expansion to vice city. would you people think so? Speaking of san fransisco, tha is here my dad is on active duty. If i ever go onto coast guard island in GTA:SA, ill try not to kill my dad. Mini-Gun
Yeah that would be cool. Something like. "The year is 1992 and Tommy Vercetti has been released after a 6 year stint for unclaimed dollars , cocaine trafficing countless other crimes but now the search is on for the traitor that provided key evidence in securing Vercetti behind bars. Can Tommy reclaim his multi-million dollar empire and retake Vice City in a new era? Its up to you." Ok , that sucked but still something like that. Shockwave_NewOrder
or maybe in present time, with Fido from gta3 arriving in Vice City, and he meets up with Ray and Donald who escaped to vice, and with Tommy, and see how he's doing.

Yeah, present day Vice sounds pretty cool too. Only problem is, Tommy would be in his 50's-60's with gray hair But I still think it could work quite well. Heh, I wonder what a sequel would be called? GTA 5: Vice City 2, lol.

The Quick and the Dead
I hope san andreas is set in the early-mid ninetys. Where rap was old school. "word".
C Bear
Rap wasn't old school in any part of the 90's.
Tsuroki
Sounds great - In fact, one of my greatest hopes for Rockstar is to release a full-sized Grand Theft Auto Saga game, (no, not Sega.) - basically it'd have all the cities connected, just like in the original Grand Theft Auto game, but with redesigned cities. Imagine, a high-profile drug kingpin takes off on a flight to Liberty. What do you do? Pursue him, of course. Then he goes to San Andreas - hell, they could just combine all the cities and make one giant megacity. Now THAT... would be cool.
Mini-Gun
Only problem is, Tommy would be in his 50's-60's with gray hair. Tommy would be 51. He was billed as "mid-30's" im VC.

I guess that's a close estimate. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of a sequel to Vice in the present day. It would be cool to have gta3 guy "Fido" in there as well, only he should continue to remain speechless and nameless. He would just nod with that smirk look on his face like in gta3. It's little things like this that define the game that much more IMO. But I really like Tsuroki's idea of a saga, should San Andreas happen in the first place. The PS3 "Blu-Ray" discs will hold 24-36 GB, which is definately enough room for 3 huge, detailed cities and a massive souldtrack, so the idea is certainly possible. This would be an excellent way for Rockstar to cap off the GTA1 cities. Hehe, sometimes I think it's more fun to dream up sh*t than actually playing the game.
