Sociopaths VS Psychopaths, what's the difference ?

a lot of people are getting confused between sociopaths and psychopaths

and some people use these words to define people as "crazy" without knowing the real meaning

without further do, let's get straight to the comparison

first: sociopaths are unstable

they can't hold a job for long, and they can't settle down in 1 place

they may travel extensively, but they're NOT sightseers

if they can't get money the legal way, they will do the illegal way to take money

however, psychopaths are more stable and calculating than sociopaths

they hold steady jobs and they settle down in 1 place

the jobs that hold the most psychopaths are

CEOs, Lawyers, Police Officers, and surgeons, and also Chefs and salesmen also make this list

second: sociopaths can make friends easily, but keeping the friends IS the problem for them

because of their unstable behavior

but psychopaths are completely different

they keep friends for long, and they hide their unstable behavior under what they call "their mask"

third: sociopaths are created, not born

meaning that they are born normally, but because of their environment: like traumas, abuse, etc they become sociopaths

which explains why they feel remorse and feel emotions, i'll talk about that later in the forum

but psychopaths are BORN psychopaths because of genetics

which means they are born, not made

this doesn't mean their environment doesn't play a role, however...

they play a role, either parent abuse, childhood abuse, traumas, etc...

and fourth -which is a HUGE one-:

sociopaths have lack of empathy, guilt, and remorse

and at the same time, these feeling can be present in some cases

however, psychopaths have COMPLETE lack of empathy, guilt and remorse,

even if they DID feel it, it's just shallow and short lived (faked)

also fifth: Sociopaths have REAl emotions, they can FEEL emotions

but psychopaths don't feel emotion

it's just 2 things: either they don't feel emotions, or they're emotions are shallow and short lived -fake-

hope it sounded clear...

did i miss something about this topic ?

Psychopathy isn't really a thing in a medical sense and never had been.

it is,

for example, if a father or a mother is a psychpath/sociopath

his/her son will be born with psychopathy in his genetics

No, it's not. Psychopathy is not a clinical diagnosis (https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/wicked-deeds/201610/diagnosing-psychopaths?amp)

So anything to discuss here? because you summed it up perfectly up there. Socios are traumatized people and psychos have a tiny difference in their brain.

Well one thing we can surely add here is that you'll never know if someone you met is either. Anyone who claims to be Psycho or Socio is an attention seeker most of the time.
