ToastOnCheese Posted March 27, 2020 Share Posted March 27, 2020 I understand why they would put GTA 6 instead of GTA VI, because it's easy to mistake GTA VI and GTA IV, but to be fair, this is a forum for an 18+ game so I assume the vast majority wouldn't have a problem understanding which is which. DOUGL4S1 Posted March 29, 2020 Share Posted March 29, 2020 A theory I've heard is that "GTA 6" is a far more common Google search than "GTA VI", so it can help promote the Forums through Google Searches. Also interesting that GTA 6 is the most popular choice of search for that topic everywhere except for Iran for some reason. Spider-Vice Posted March 29, 2020 Share Posted March 29, 2020 It's not a theory, that was exactly the reason as explained when the section was renamed from GTA Next to GTA 6 Google does associate VI with 6 but direct terms are better. It'll likely be changed down the line anyway.
