GTA 6 Speculation & Discussion [Part 2]

So, do you guys think that if there was announcement (of sorts) due tomorrow, considering the news of CODMW2 being released out the blue tomorrow, that Rockstar may decide to postpone until early April to get the news out? 

I'm not saying R* is in anyway in competition to COD, and we all know any announcement would trump anything going on in the gaming world, however do you think they may wan't a day to themselves without other noise?

I think everyone needs to settle down. Who’s to say the the preacher wasn’t send by the gta gods? Why do we reject his message? Maybe there’s a hidden lesson....... 
 

 

If we do not receive information tomorrow, then we will enter Devcon 3. This thread will tear itself apart slowly. I’m sure you guys have seen the online drought threads, people will destroy themselves if they’re unsatisfied. Especially gta players. I hope to the almighty we receive something!

Rockstar could literally post a picture of poop with #VI and it would be all over social media and foreshadow everything

At least it will be quiet and back to normal stuff. People that want to stay will stay. People that just wanted to learn stuff from @The Preacher will leave. It will still be a win win for this topic.

If anything, that increases the chances of something tomorrow ever so slightly. Just to troll COD. I believe they've released trailers before when CoD had a big annoucement.

Like I said in my post, any news on GTA VI would trump anything else in the gaming world, however, do you think they would want to maximise the opportunity and announce on a day where there is nothing?

I think the preacher has gained a decent following, so decent that they’ll listen to his every word. No matter how wrong or inaccurate it may be, the preacher isn’t done yet, nor is his followers.

March 31 is the last day of the 2nd quarter of the fiscal calendar, by the way.

 

EDIT: It could be good for T2 from the fund-raising/investor perspective if the last item on the quarterly report is "Announced the next project"

I mean, it's not impossible, not a bad theory. However, I imagine they've planned out exactly when they are going to annouce something and changing that would complicate more than we might know. Or they might just decide on the fly. We know way too little to know how things'll go behind the scenes

We got a trailer a week after the announcement. At least we had that it would’ve been unbearable otherwise

Yeah, I know. But after they announced it the trailer came a week later. And then nothing for a year. Minus a handful of screenshots, Rockstar said nothing for pretty much a whole year.

GTA IV was similar, it was announced at E3 2006, but the first trailer didn't release until March 2007. Thankfully, things have changed since then.
