I messaged the supposed "Rockstar NY Post-Production video editor" that was mention here earlier.

 

Take this with a massive grain of salt, because I think this is most likely BS.

A: We’re around 30+ in that exact position. So I doubt.

A: Yes I am, we’ve been working on some for quite some time. And one is ready to be released very soon.

Q: Okay so no dates, any idea on when? (timeline) so like within the next week or so?

A: They want us to have the promo done before the end of next Monday. So I’m not too sure, but I’m guessing nothing before the 30th. But that’s just our deadline. It’s possible they want to change stuff. And even if they don’t they might start announcing stuff immediately.

Q: Has any real GTA VI leaks appeared online and has since been deleted or dismissed from the community?

A: Not that has been dismissed that I know of, but there sure is some true information out there. Could also just be lucky guesses.

• Also I do not understand his choice to still call the next Grand Theft Auto game  “Project Americas” when he then says the following:

 

“Another thing is about the title. Since I had to work with uploading logos etc. I know that the title does not include any numbers”

“So it’s more like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas than Grand Theft Auto: V”

Q: I don’t mean to push, but fo you have any details or images (don’t have to be the game) to share with me just to prove some legitimacy?

A: It’s difficult to do without revealing confidential information. But if you’ve got any suggestions I’m listening.

 

Q: Protagonist name, how many protagonist, location, era, things like this. Perhaps anything you are comfortable with sharing.

A: 1 Protagonist, not sure about his name. US, around 70-80s. It’s a fictional city set to be in the us.

 

Q: East Coast?

A: Most likely yes. Not too sure. The promos only feature cinematic shots over cities and revolving characters.

 

Q: Considering the project name is “Project Americas” as you confirmed, does this mean we will see multiple countries represented in GTA VI such as the rumoured Colombia?

A: Not too sure about that one either. One promo does feature an airplane flying over the virtual camera. So that could be a possibility. But if that was the case I’d think they wanted us to create videos from the other locations as well. Which I haven’t been asked to do (yet) But that could be something another department is working on or something.

 

(Trailers)

Q: Just the one trailer in the works so far then?

A: Correct. At least in my department.

 

(Working From Home)

Q: Considering Rockstar sent all of their staff home and you said you are still working in the new trailer, how does this work with a team of people?

A: It doesn’t really impact much since we’re all told exactly what to do since Rockstar knows exactly what they want already. So we don’t need to have any dialogs.

 

(Any News Soon)

Q: I won’t keep you busy for long as I need to leave soon. Sure there isn’t anything more you would like to share with me? I understand you said that Rockstar wants the trailer done before next Monday, any guesses on when we could hear some news? Such as a logo change or is this outside of your knowledge?

A: It’s outside of my knowledge unfortunately

I think this guy is most likely b*llsh*tting, although I do find some answers interesting such as the expected announcement date: “before the end of next Monday. So I’m not too sure, but I’m guessing nothing before the 30th”

 

And he seems to dismiss the multiple location rumour: “if that was the case I’d think they wanted us to create videos from the other locations as well”

Agreed, heard some people talking about him so I messaged him and got his answers. So we can now stop talking about him, I took one for the team.

Exactly, March rumours have been circulating for some time now. This guy estimates early April apparently:

I remember people telling me that GTA V will not be called GTA V, yet it was called GTA V. I really expect them to go with simple GTA VI, now how it will be designed, it depends on the focus of the game. IV was dark (dark story, city), V was green (money, heists).

If it is Vice City then it has to be neon pink. Maybe neon blue. I can't see any alternatives for that.
