Acky.

With the next instalment’s announcement seemingly around the corner, given the change in hierarchy since GTA V with one of the Houser’s and Benzies’ departure, I really do hope GTA VI doesn’t lose its roots.

That said I hope they continuously develop the game in the general direction it was heading; realism.

• More depth and finer details that we’ve seen in the HD era.

• More realism we’ve seen previously with Benzies direction (i.e.: Heists update rather than the updates like Doomsday), a lot more focus on some quite realistic warfare instead of feeling like I’m fighting Iron Man on a flying motorcycle (Oppressor has no place in GTA).

• Present Day setting is a must, anything in the future will damage the game and Rockstar’s reputation, it’s the most overused and tacky format of some recent games.

• Wasteland/Filler areas of the map with absolutely no use; saw a lot of this with the mountains/hills to separate certain chains of the map - needs to be a lot more metropolitan rather than rural; rural areas such as marsh would make sense though, if set in Vice City.

• Female protagonist. Will ultimately ruin the satire behind GTA’s depiction of American culture. Doesn’t appeal to majority of the fanbase - maybe in a DLC, this would make sense however.

-All of San Andreas' annoying stat management like fat, muscle, stamina etc which diminishes if it's not being maintained..

-Even less missions than GTA V.

-A centralised theme like the heists in GTA V.

-The removal of features for no reason like flipping over rolled vehicles.

-A blank canvas protagonist we have to make from scratch.

I really don't want GTA VIs online mode to be full of annoying little dicks flying around in Hydras, Oppressors, Deluxos or Ospreys.

The most advanced thing in the game should be the F-16 (which should only be available via hijacking from the military base), and the most advanced purchasable aircraft should be a passenger/transport aircraft.

No rail guns or laser guns.

1. The annoying stat management from GTA: San Andreas. R* really has nothing to gain from it and it really makes a GTA game feel more like Webkinz, Club Penguin, or one of those Sims games.

2. A protagonist like the one in GTA Online whom we have to make from scratch and is otherwise dull.

3. More than one protagonist.

4. The protagonist in GTA VI being a Trevor Philips clone and the antagonists being a Devin Weston clone and a Steve Haines clone.

5. Unrealistic stuff like flying cars, ray guns, etc.

6. A highly futuristic setting akin to those in certain COD games.

7. For GTA VI to have an online cesspool akin to GTA V’s.

Both of those are not happending. Rockstar themselves have confirmed, it would ruin their game. Don't believe all those "leaks"...

TBH, I personally think it’s BS how R* thinks that having a GTA take place outside of the USA would ruin their game. I also despise the idea that GTA should solely stick to the USA because I wholeheartedly believe that a foreign GTA would breathe a lot of fresh air into the series. I would especially love to see a GTA game take place somewhere in urban Canada like Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver. I believe you, though, about what you said so please don’t take it like I’m saying I don’t believe you. It’s 100% believable. Rockstar doesn’t want to bring anything new to the table anymore so they’re just saying “it would ruin their game” as an excuse. That’s also why ever since GTA Online came out in 2013, the only game they’ve even worked on since then is RDR2 (that I know of at least). So yeah..

(These pretty much all apply to both GTA6 and GTA:O2)

Do not want

- Season Pass (im fine with some people paying extra to get extra stuff, even for SP, but dont screw me out of access to certain gameplay/items/etc because im not paying double, so just go standard microtransaction route, let the people that want to do so buy ingame money, or if they do have to have season pass then let me just grind for those items)

- An even more dumbed down physics engine, we all know how GTA4 was essentially more fun to mess around in because of its better physics, i've come to terms with them dialing that down for GTA5 (i've concluded that its prolly the main reason 5 runs so much better then 4) but i will not accept if they go even further 'backwards' for GTA6.

- I honestly dont see how they would do this with all the rumors of it going back in time, but please to god i do not ever want to see Lamar Simeon Martin or Gerald ever again, those characters were really written to hate, at wich they very much succeeded, f- those guys.

- Soccermom traffic AI, for the love of god its like 15 lines of code at most to stop them merging lanes right infront of you, please fix

Based on the reply above mine, i dont want them to remove in-air control etc, to me thats part of what makes GTA GTA, the ability to pull stunts off of the city infrastructure.

The Time Ranger

The usual Gta wanted level system, aka fire a shot in the remote mountain range and suddenly there's a wanted level and a squad car which spawns half way up a mountain. It's time to revamp the wanted system.

Content exclusive to online, for a little while in the Ps3/Xbox360 era cars from online would be added to your single player garage, for me it was pretty cool knowing that after an online update they'd leave a little something for the single player fans, of course they stopped doing that as this was actually fun.

Emphasis on online to the detriment of single player, online isn't for me, but I don't begrudge those who enjoy it, do like RDR2, an excellent fleshed out gameworld with a quality story which happens to have an online mode. Single player comes first, remember your roots. But then again money talks I suppose, GTAO is a major cash cow and I expect them to milk it dry, it's a business after all, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. All I ask is remember where you came from.

Flat and boring physics like in V, how do you go backwards from the physics in IV.

  • Single player gaining very little attention, and story being shorter than even GTA V. Would seriously prefer a RDR2 length
  • More than 2 characters
  • Only a single city to play in
  • I fear that Vice City is not the setting
  • Female protagonist
  • Being set in present or future (It has been way too long since we got a GTA Game connected to a period, I would really prefer 80's Vice City, or maybe. a new city set in 1970's)
  • Working for government cliché story
  • Non in-depth story

Honestly my biggest fear is they carry on down the road V embarked on, with the multiple protagonists, having three main characters brought the whole game down so much

>gta 5's combat or God forbids gta online's one.

This is the thing i hate the most in gta 5, guns have no punch whatsoever and the weapon variety is absolutely dreadful, every gun feels the same, i still don't know what's the difference between all the assault rifles. The explosions are just plain stupid, if you aren't in the blast radius nothing happens if you come closer just by 1cm you instantly die, no inbetween. Also the explosive weapons don't have that feeling of destruction. Melee weapons are mostly useless because the animation takes so long to pull off and you're basically stuck afterwards. Plus gunfights are more painful than fun because your character is weaker than glass and enemies are basically bullet sponges, it's actually tolerable in singleplayer, but in online it's just horrible, basically you take cover and if you go out of it you're basically dead so you have to take cover then shoot one enemy, but somehow the enemy falls and you have to shoot him many times, but somehow again if you go full automatic it doesn't work so you have to shoot shot by shot and try to shoot the head to actually do some damage(wich is difficult because they often fall in a way you can't see their heads), oh and because the ennemies are marksmen you always end up getting hit so you have to take some snacks and equip protection and repeat the processus until it ends.

3 protagonists instead of one or at max two protagonist with solid stories and character arcs.

Hollywood-esque but extremely linear story missions.

Rolling the cars back on its wheels.

V's arcade driving physics.

Character's special abilities - I don't use it and I think it has no business being in GTA.

Lack of paramedic, vigilante and firefighter side jobs.

Lack of safe houses you can buy.

Lack of interiors in properties that you can buy.

V's "stealth mode" - Just bring crouching back.

V's Melee attack system, it's just pathetic.

One-Hit kill melee attacks on pedestrians.

Not being able to discard your own weapons at any time.

Not being able to leave your engine running like you could in IV.

Steering wheels blocking the dashboard gauges inside cars - Very likely to happen anyway.

Stupid meme vehicles like the OP Mk2 and Deluxo that have no business being even related to GTA - Very likely to happen anyway.

Stupidly overpowered cops like in V, who knows were you are 100% of the time.

Interiors locked to missions only, open them up for free roam as well, f*ckers!

-Current GTA Online inspired slightly scifi-ish setting

-City based map with almost nonexistent countryside/wilderness (I specifically want it to have those large "boring" empty spacey areas too)

-Only one protagonist (despite resulting "weaker" characters, more than one protagonist makes the story and gameplay as a whole more diverse, interesting and suitable for different "tastes")

-As or even more arcade driving physics as GTA V

-Radio stations consisting of standard cliche earworm songs

-No physical map

-Leslie Benzies' departure having a noticeable effect (lack of that "spirit" of GTA. Less attention to "cultural" details like brands, myths, easter eggs and all the other random stuff that make the GTA universe so special)

-Linear movie -like missions, that reduce the freedom to complete them in different ways, just so that the GAME would look like a movie. (RDR2)

-Male protagonist (Hah!)

Tbh I'm most concerned about the setting. If it's Vice City, I'm sure the R* will make the best version of Miami than anyone could possibly can, it's just that personally I'm not really into southern USA landscape or "lifestyle", so I don't how much I'm going to like it there. No one has really managed to sell me the setting yet. I guess I have to start watching CSi Miami to get into the mood? I know the show is ridiculous, but it does have an amazing "atmosphere".

I don't see how it would be an improvement. It limits your options in a gunfight and it gets in the way of causing chaos which is what GTA was defined by. A lot of people have proposed having a personal vehicle to store your guns which would defeat the whole purpose of ''Grand Theft Auto'' if you were discouraged from stealing cars. It would be a chore to have to run back to your car to get a different weapon every time you wanted to change or if you ran out of ammo.

It would maybe make gunfights more exciting if you were limited on guns and ammo but bringing back the 3D GTA system of only being allowed to carry one type of each weapon would produce that same tension and excitement.

All that and it didn't really add anything for me in RDR2, it just made fights feel more limited and not as enjoyable as RDR1.

Even worse, what if said vehicle gets destroyed, stuck or lost with all of your weapons in it?

As has been replied probably multiple times, focus on a very profit focused online mode which causes neglect to singleplayer and is overall crappy designed, like it is now. Also a modern day setting, I am afraid they will go with this because it will sell better to the general public, but I'd like to see one set in the past again. And the departure of Rockstar's important GTA men like Benzies having impact on the identity of the series, of course.

Weaponised vehicles or at the very LEAST limit the ammo in them (especially if explosive rounds/missiles) and tracking missiles should only work against a.i OR other weaponised vehicles (e.g. Hydra could target buzzard and vice versa but not some random dude driving a sabre turbo)

Police that spawn in your path, magically know where you are, tend to have aimbot sometimes (more so in online)

DLC with cars that keep getting faster and faster

Useless guns or melee weapons (Sns pistol, vintage pistol, microsmg.....)

Big ammo counts - Especially for rockets and sticky bombs

sh*tty stealth like GTA V

I fear that it’ll be a Jerry Bruckheimer story mode like V was. The story should be more down to earth like IV and RDR2. V was trying way too much at the same time.
